The disclosure claimed is: 1 . A cooking assistive device, comprising: a portable housing configured to be disposed on or proximate a food item; a plurality of sensors situated within said housing; a dispenser; a utensil holder; a memory storing computer-readable instructions; and a processor configured to execute said instructions to: (1) obtain a wireless input from a mobile device; (2) access data stored in a remote database; (3) obtain a reading from at least one of said plurality of sensors; and (4) cause said dispenser to dispense a substance in response to said reading. 2 . The cooking assistive device of claim 1 , further comprising a propelling mechanism. 3 . The cooking assistive device of claim 2 , wherein said propelling mechanism comprises wheels. 4 . The cooking assistive device of claim 2 , further comprising a heating element. 5 . A cooking assistive device, comprising: a portable housing configured to be disposed on or proximate a food item; said housing having a plurality of openings and at least one wheel; a plurality of sensors situated within said housing; a memory storing computer-readable instructions; and a processor configured to execute said instructions to: (1) access data stored in a remote database; (2) obtain a reading from at least one of said plurality of sensors; (3) compare said reading to said data; (4) communicate with a cooking device in response to said comparison. 6 . The cooking assistive device of claim 5 , further comprising at least one wing. 7 . The cooking assistive device of claim 5 , further comprising a compartment to store said memory and said processor. 8 . The cooking assistive device of claim 5 , further comprising a utensil holder; said utensil holder comprising a hook. 9 . A portable cooking assistive device, comprising: a housing; a sensor situated within said housing for determining an attribute of a food item; a food preparation element for providing energy to the food item; memory storing computer-readable instructions; and a processor configured to execute the instructions to: (1) obtain a first reading from the sensor; (2) activate the food preparation element in response to the first reading; (3) obtain a second reading from the sensor; and (4) adjust the food preparation element in response to the second reading; wherein energy from the food preparation element is focused to a portion of the food item. 10 . The portable cooking assistive device of claim 9 , wherein the portion of the food item is less than the entire food item. 11 . The portable cooking assistive device of claim 10 , further comprising a driving mechanism for focusing the energy from the food preparation element to the food item. 12 . The portable cooking assistive device of claim 11 , wherein the food preparation element is a heating element. 13 . The portable cooking assistive device of claim 11 , wherein the food preparation element is a cooling element. 14 . The portable cooking assistive device of claim 9 , further comprising a driving mechanism for focusing the energy from the food preparation element to the food item. 15 . The portable cooking assistive device of claim 14 , wherein the food preparation element is at least one of a heating element and a cooling element. 16 . The portable cooking assistive device of claim 14 , further comprising a utensil holder. 17 . A cooking assistive device, comprising: a portable housing having at least one opening formed therein; a sensor situated within said housing; a memory storing computer-readable instructions; and a processor configured to execute said instructions to: (1) obtain an input from the sensor; (2) access data stored in a remote database; and (3) compare the input to the data; and (4) communicate with a cooking element in response to the comparison. 18 . The cooking assistive device of claim 17 , wherein the cooking element is a dispenser configured to dispense a substance in response to the comparison. 19 . The cooking assistive device of claim 17 , wherein the cooking element is remote from the cooking assistive device, the cooking element and the cooking assistive device being configured to communicate over a network. 20 . The cooking assistive device of claim 19 , wherein the cooking element is a microwave.
