An image forming apparatus that includes an image forming portion configured to form an image on a sheet with a developer containing toner and an ultraviolet curable agent, a feeding belt configured to feed the sheet on which the image is formed by the image forming portion, and an ultraviolet irradiating portion configured to irradiate, with ultraviolet radiation, the image on the sheet that is being fed by the feeding belt. The feeding belt stops rotation thereof in a non-irradiated state of the feeding belt with ultraviolet radiation by the ultraviolet irradiating portion.

1 - 8 . (canceled) 9 . An image forming apparatus comprising: an image forming portion configured to form an image on a sheet with a developer containing toner and an ultraviolet curable agent; a feeding belt configured to feed the sheet on which the image is formed by said image forming portion; and an ultraviolet irradiating portion configured to irradiate, with ultraviolet radiation, the image on the sheet that is being fed by said feeding belt, wherein said feeding belt stops rotation thereof in a non-irradiated state of said feeding belt with ultraviolet radiation by said ultraviolet irradiating portion. 10 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 9 , further comprising a controller configured to control operations of said ultraviolet irradiating portion and said feeding belt, wherein said controller stops the ultraviolet radiation by said ultraviolet irradiating portion and then stops the rotation of said feeding belt. 11 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein said controller stops the ultraviolet radiation by said ultraviolet irradiating portion in response to an end of an image forming process depending on an inputted image forming instruction. 12 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 10 , further comprising an infrared irradiating portion configured to irradiate, with infrared radiation, the image on the sheet that is being fed by said feeding belt, wherein said feeding belt stops rotation thereof in a non-irradiated state of said feeding belt with infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion. 13 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein said controller stops the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion and then stops the rotation of said feeding belt. 14 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 12 , wherein a position of the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion is in a side upstream, with respect to a sheet feeding direction, of a position at which the image on the sheet is irradiated with ultraviolet radiation by said ultraviolet irradiating portion. 15 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein said controller starts the rotation of said feeding belt and then starts the ultraviolet radiation by said ultraviolet irradiating portion. 16 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 15 , wherein said controller starts the ultraviolet radiation by said ultraviolet irradiating portion in response to receipt of an image forming operation start instruction. 17 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 15 , wherein said controller starts the rotation of said feeding belt and then starts the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion. 18 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein said controller starts the rotation of said feeding belt and then starts the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion. 19 . An image forming apparatus comprising: an image forming portion configured to form an image on a sheet with a developer containing toner and an ultraviolet curable agent; a feeding belt configured to feed the sheet on which the image is formed by said image forming portion; an infrared irradiating portion configured to irradiate, with infrared radiation, the image on the sheet that is being fed by said feeding belt; and an ultraviolet irradiating portion configured to irradiate the image on the sheet, with ultraviolet radiation, irradiated with the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion or while being irradiated with the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion, wherein said feeding belt stops rotation thereof in a non-irradiated state of said feeding belt with infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion. 20 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 19 , further comprising a controller configured to control operations of said infrared irradiating portion and said feeding belt, wherein said controller stops the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion and then stops the rotation of said feeding belt. 21 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 19 , wherein said ultraviolet irradiating portion irradiates, with ultraviolet radiation, the image on the sheet that is being fed by said feeding belt. 22 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 20 , wherein said controller starts the rotation of said feeding belt and then starts the ultraviolet radiation by said ultraviolet irradiating portion. 23 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 20 , wherein said controller starts the ultraviolet radiation by said ultraviolet irradiating portion in response to receipt of an image forming operation start instruction. 24 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 23 , wherein said controller starts the rotation of said feeding belt and then starts the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion. 25 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 20 , wherein said controller starts the rotation of said feeding belt and then starts the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion. 26 . An image forming apparatus according to claim 19 , wherein said ultraviolet irradiating portion irradiates the image on the sheet, with ultraviolet radiation, while being irradiated with the infrared radiation by said infrared irradiating portion.
