A multi-lumen catheter includes a primary lumen having a proximal end and a tip and a secondary lumen parallel to the primary lumen. The primary lumen and the secondary lumen share a wall. A port is defined in the wall proximate the tip of the primary lumen and provides fluidic communication between the primary lumen and the secondary lumen.

What is claimed is: 1 . A multi-lumen catheter comprising: a primary lumen having a proximal end and a tip; a secondary lumen parallel to the primary lumen, the primary lumen and the secondary lumen sharing a wall; a port defined in the wall proximate the tip of the primary lumen and providing fluidic communication between the primary lumen and the secondary lumen. 2 . The catheter of claim 1 , wherein the primary lumen includes a hollow space defined within the wall. 3 . The catheter of claim 2 , further comprising a second wall, the secondary lumen including a hollow space defined between the wall and the second wall. 4 . The catheter of claim 3 , wherein the secondary lumen is non-concentric with the primary lumen. 5 . The catheter of claim 4 , further comprising a plurality of ports defined in the wall along at least a portion of a length of the catheter. 6 . The catheter of claim 5 , where the plurality of ports are disposed along a last 1% to a last 20% of the length of the catheter. 7 . The catheter of claim 5 , where the plurality of ports are disposed along substantially all of the catheter. 8 . The catheter of claim 1 , wherein the wall comprises a fluid permeable membrane. 9 . A multi-lumen catheter comprising: a primary lumen having a proximal end and a tip; a secondary lumen parallel to the primary lumen, the primary lumen and the secondary lumen sharing a wall, the secondary lumen defined by the wall and a second wall disposed concentrically about the wall; and one or more ribs configured and arranged to maintain separation between the wall and the second wall. 10 . The catheter of claim 9 , wherein the one or more ribs have a height of between about 20 micrometers and about 2 millimeters. 11 . The catheter of claim 10 , wherein the one or more ribs are distributed evenly about a circumference of the catheter. 12 . The catheter of claim 11 , wherein the one or more ribs run substantially an entire length of the catheter. 13 . The catheter of claim 11 , wherein the one or more ribs run along only a portion of a length of the catheter. 14 . The catheter of claim 11 , wherein the one or more ribs are distributed about the circumference of the catheter at a plurality of locations along a length of the catheter. 15 . The catheter of claim 9 , wherein the wall terminates prior to the tip of the catheter. 16 . The catheter of claim 9 , wherein the wall terminates at the tip of the catheter. 17 . The catheter of claim 9 , further comprising a plurality of ports defined in the wall along a length of the catheter and providing fluidic communication between the primary lumen and the secondary lumen. 18 . The catheter of claim 9 , further comprising a plurality of ports distributed about an outer face of the catheter. 19 . The catheter of claim 18 , configured and arranged such that fluid exits the secondary lumen substantially only through the plurality of ports distributed about the outer face of the catheter. 20 . The catheter of claim 18 , configured and arranged such that fluid exits the secondary lumen through the plurality of ports distributed about the outer face of the catheter and through the tip of the catheter. 21 . The catheter of claim 9 , wherein the wall comprises a fluid permeable membrane. 22 . The catheter of claim 9 , wherein the second wall comprises a fluid permeable membrane.
