Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The present disclosure relates to a lawn mower robot, including an inner body; an outer cover configured to surround an outer side of the inner body; wheels rotatably mounted at both sides of the inner body, respectively; a rotating plate rotatably mounted on a bottom surface of the inner body, and disposed to be inclined downward with respect to a horizontal plane in a traveling direction of the inner body; a plurality of blades coupled to an edge portion of the rotating plate to be unfolded in a centrifugal direction and folded in the direction of the center of the circle, and spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction of the rotating plate to cut grass while rotating around the rotating shaft of the rotating plate; and a blade protection cover formed to be spaced apart from the blades to prevent a fragment of an obstacle from being thrown out of the outer cover due to collision with the blades, wherein the blade has a cross-sectional shape of a parallelogram and is formed of a plate having a predetermined width in a longitudinal direction.

What is claimed is: 1 . A lawn mower robot, comprising: an inner body; an outer cover configured to surround an outer side of the inner body; wheels rotatably provided at sides of the inner body; a rotating plate rotatably mounted on a bottom surface of the inner body, and disposed to be inclined downward with respect to a horizontal plane from a rear side of the inner body to a front side of the inner body; a plurality of blades rotatably coupled to an edge portion of the rotating plate and configured to be unfolded by centrifugal force in a radial direction of the rotating plate and folded in toward the rotating plate, the plurality of blades being spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction of the rotating plate to cut grass while rotating around the rotating shaft of the rotating plate; and a blade protection cover formed to be spaced apart from the blades and provided to cover the plurality of blades to prevent ejection of objects through the outer cover, wherein the plurality of blades have a plate shape having a predetermined width in a longitudinal direction and a cross-section in a parallelogram shape. 2 . The lawn mower robot of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of blades includes four blades are provided at equal intervals along a circumferential direction of the rotating plate. 3 . The lawn mower robot of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of blades are fastened by bolts to a bottom surface of the rotating plate. 4 . The lawn mower robot of claim 3 , wherein the rotating plate includes blade mounting portions provided on the bottom surface of the rotating plate, wherein the mounting portions include protruding portions that protrude a prescribed distance from the bottom surface of the rotating plate to separate the blades from the rotating plate while the blades rotate. 5 . The lawn mower robot of claim 4 , wherein the rotating plate includes a chamfered portion at a distal end of the protruding portion and formed to be tapered from the protruding portion. 6 . The lawn mower robot of claim 1 , wherein the blade includes a first side surface that is a cutting surface and a second side surface opposite the first side surface, the first surface and the second surface being angled relative to the top and bottom surfaces of the blade such that an angle between the cutting surface and the top surface is less than an angle between the cutting surface and the bottom surface. 7 . The lawn mower robot of claim 1 , further comprising: a drive motor connected to a central portion of the rotating plate through a rotation shaft perpendicularly coupled to the rotating plate. 8 . The lawn mower robot of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of protrusions are arranged on a circular arc at a front side of the blade protection cover and spaced apart from each other at prescribed intervals. 9 . The lawn mower robot of claim 8 , wherein the plurality of protrusions are positioned such that an interval between adjacent protrusions at a front center of the blade protection cover is greater than adjacent protrusions toward a side of the protection cover. 10 . The lawn mower robot of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of protrusions are provided parallel to each other to form channels and are partially overlapped with each other in a lateral direction from the front center of the blade protection cover. 11 . The lawn mower robot of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of protrusions have a front surface, front angled surface that extends from the front surface, and a rear angled surface that extends from the front angled surface, wherein a length of the rear angled surface is greater than a length of the front angled surface and the rear angled surface is angled to deflect projectiles from the blades down toward the ground. 12 . The lawn mower robot of claim 1 , further comprising: a height adjusting unit provided on the blade protection cover to adjust a height of the blade protection cover and the blade, wherein the height adjusting unit includes: a receiving portion provided at an inner side of the inner body to form an accommodation space in a vertical direction; a lifting frame installed within the receiving portion and provided with a first spiral protrusion at an inner side of the lifting frame; a rotating cylindrical portion having a second spiral protrusion on an outer circumferential surface and rotatably coupled to the first spiral protrusion to move the rotating cylindrical portion and the blades up and down relative to the lifting frame; and a height adjusting lever mounted on an upper portion of the rotating cylindrical portion to rotate the rotating cylindrical portion. 13 . A lawn mower robot, comprising: an inner body; an outer cover configured to surround an outer side of the inner body; wheels rotatably provided at sides of the inner body; a rotating plate rotatably mounted on a bottom surface of the inner body, and disposed to be inclined downward toward a front side of the inner body that corresponds to a travel direction of the lawn mower robot; a plurality of blades rotatably coupled to the rotating plate to fold and unfold based on a centrifugal force of rotation of the rotating plate; and a blade protection cover provided over the rotating plate and the plurality of blades, and spaced apart from the blades to block projectiles ejected from the blades toward the outer cover due to collision with the blades, wherein each of the plurality of blades has a thickness of 0.75 to 1.25 mm and a width of 7.5 to 12.5 mm. 14 . The lawn mower robot of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of blades includes four blades which are arranged at equal intervals relative to each other around the rotating plate. 15 . The lawn mower robot of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of blades rotate at 2250 to 2750 rpm. 16 . The lawn mower robot of claim 13 , wherein a rotation diameter (D) of the blades is a diameter of a circle corresponding to an end of the blades and a length (L) of each of the plurality of blades is within a range greater than D/9 but less than D/6. 17 .
