Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A method for treating a metal substrate surface before coating or printing thereof, the method including preheating to 40° C. or above a specific metal substrate having a thermal conductivity of 10 W/mK or higher, and thereafter performing a flame treatment on the substrate surface, prior to coating or printing of the surface of the substrate with a coating material or an ink.

First claim

1 . A method for treating a metal substrate surface before coating or printing thereof, the method comprising: preheating to 40° C. or above a metal substrate having a thermal conductivity of 10 W/mK or higher and selected from among plated steel sheet, stainless steel sheet, coated steel sheet, aluminum sheet, copper sheet and degreased ordinary steel sheet, and thereafter performing a flame treatment on the substrate surface, prior to coating or printing of the surface of the substrate with a coating material or an ink. 2 . The treatment method of claim 1 , wherein the substrate is selected from among plated steel sheet, stainless steel sheet, coated steel sheet, aluminum sheet and copper sheet. 3 . The treatment method of claim 1 , wherein the substrate is preheated to 50° C. or above. 4 . The treatment method of claim 1 , wherein the substrate is preheated to 60° C. or above. 5 . The treatment method of claim 1 , wherein preheating is carried out in such a manner that the temperature of the substrate does not exceed 300° C. 6 . The treatment method of claim 1 , wherein the substrate is subjected to the flame treatment using one or two gas burners. 7 . The treatment method of claim 1 , wherein the substrate is a coated steel sheet. 8 . The treatment method of claim 7 , wherein printing performed on the surface of the coated steel sheet is inkjet printing. 9 . The treatment method of claim 8 , wherein the inkjet printing is carried out using an actinic-ray curable ink. 10 . The treatment method of claim 1 , wherein occurrence of condensation derived from the flame of a gas burner used in the flame treatment is suppressed. 11 . A method for suppressing occurrence of condensation derived from the flame of a gas burner, the method comprising: bringing the temperature of a metal substrate during a flame treatment, which is performed by a gas burner prior to coating or printing of the surface of the metal substrate with a coating material or an ink, to 40° C. or above through preheating, the metal substrate having a thermal conductivity of 10 W/mK or higher and being selected from among plated steel sheet, stainless steel sheet, coated steel sheet, aluminum sheet, copper sheet and degreased ordinary steel sheet.
