A work vehicle control system includes an on-board communication controller for requesting, while a current travel position indicates that the work vehicle travels in a predetermined first block section of a travel path, a travel permission request signal for permitting travel in a second block section located next to the first block section from an on-board wireless controller. The on-board communication controller, respectively coupled to an on-board wireless controller and a GPS device, changes an interval of requesting the travel permission signal in accordance with a remaining distance to an emergency stop point in the case where it is determined from a current travel position detected by the GPS device that the work vehicle is traveling in the first block section and a control center is controlling travel of the work vehicle.

The work vehicle control system according to claim 1 , further comprising: a brake disposed on the work vehicle, coupled to the on-board communication controller via an electric-power controller, and configured to brake travel of the work vehicle, wherein the on-board communication controller is further programmed to change the interval of transmission of the travel permission request signal in accordance with a braking distance from where travel of the work vehicle is braked by the brake to where the work vehicle can be stopped. 3 . The work vehicle control system according to claim 1 , wherein the on-board communication controller is further programmed to change the interval of transmission of the travel permission request signal so as to reduce the transmission interval in proportional to decrease of remaining distance from an emergency stop point to the current travel positon, and the emergency stop point is a point which is closer to the work vehicle than to the termination point of the first block section. 4 . The work vehicle control system according to claim 1 , further comprising: a brake disposed on the work vehicle, coupled to the on-board communication controller via an electric-power controller, and configured to brake travel of the work vehicle, wherein the on-board communication controller is further programmed to: when the current travel position indicates that the work vehicle has reached a predetermined emergency stop distance from a termination point of the first block section, start to control the electric-power controller to actuate the brake and cause the work vehicle to stop before reaching the termination point. 5 . The work vehicle control system according to claim 1 , wherein the on-board communication controller is further programmed to: when the current travel position indicates that the work vehicle has reached a predetermined emergency stop distance from a termination point of the first block section, cause the work vehicle to travel past the termination point into the second block section of the travel path. 6 . A work vehicle control system for a work vehicle, the work vehicle control system comprising: a control center configured to transmit and receive communication signals with the work vehicle; an on-board wireless controller configured to be disposed on the work vehicle and configured to send and receive the communication signals with the control center; a GPS device configured to be disposed on the work vehicle and configured to detect a current travel position of the work vehicle; and an on-board communication controller configured to be disposed on the work vehicle, respectively coupled to the on-board wireless controller and the GPS device, and programmed to: while the current travel position indicates that the work vehicle travels in a predetermined first block section of a travel path, transmit a travel permission request signal to the control center for requesting a travel permission signal from the control center that permits travel in a second block section of the travel path next to the first block section via the on-board wireless controller, and when the current travel position indicates that the work vehicle is traveling in the first block section, change a travel speed of the work vehicle in accordance with a distance from a predetermined position located ahead in a predetermined traveling direction of the work vehicle in the first block section. 7 . The work vehicle control system according to claim 6 , further comprising: a brake disposed on the work vehicle, coupled to the on-board communication controller via an electric-power controller, and configured to brake travel of the work vehicle, wherein the on-board communication controller is further programmed to change the travel speed in accordance with a braking distance from where travel of the work vehicle body is braked by the brake to where the work vehicle can be stopped. 8 . A work vehicle control system for a work vehicle, the work vehicle control system comprising: a control center configured to transmit and receive communication signals with the work vehicle; an on-board wireless controller configured to be disposed on the work vehicle and configured to send and receive the communication signals with the control center; a GPS device configured to be disposed on the work vehicle and configured to detect a current travel position of the work vehicle; and an on-board communication controller configured to be disposed on the work vehicle, respectively coupled to the on-board wireless controller and the GPS device, and programmed to: while the current travel position indicates that the work vehicle travels in a predetermined first block section of a travel path on which the vehicle body is to travel, transmit a travel permission request signal to the control center for requesting a travel permission signal from the control center that permits travel in a second block section of the travel path next to the first block section via the on-board wireless controller, and when the current travel position indicates that the work vehicle is traveling in the first block section, change an interval of transmission of the travel permission request signal in accordance with a remaining time to an emergency stop point located ahead in a predetermined traveling direction of the work vehicle in the first block section. 9 .
