Official abstract text for this publication.
A multilayer body, a multilayer hollow body, and a catheter with a multilayer hollow body each have improved torque transmissibility to one end when the other end is rotated rightward or leftward. The multilayer hollow body includes a single-strand hollow body that is formed by winding one element wire, an inner multi-strand hollow body that is disposed adjacently to an inner periphery of the single-strand hollow body and is formed by winding a plurality of element wires in an opposite direction from the single-strand hollow body, and an outer multi-strand hollow body that is disposed adjacently to an outer periphery of the single-strand hollow body 7 and is formed by winding a plurality of element wires in an opposite direction from the single-strand hollow body.

What is claimed is: 1 . A multilayer body comprising: a single-strand hollow body that is a coil body formed by winding only one element wire; an inner multi-strand hollow body that is disposed adjacently to an inner periphery of the single-strand hollow body and that is a coil body formed by winding a plurality of element wires in an opposite direction from the single-strand hollow body; and an outer multi-strand hollow body that is disposed adjacently to an outer periphery of the single-strand hollow body and that is a coil body formed by winding a plurality of element wires in an opposite direction from the single-strand hollow body. 2 . The multilayer body according to claim 1 , wherein a twisting angle of the single-strand hollow body is larger than a twisting angle of the inner multi-strand hollow body and a twisting angle of the outer multi-strand hollow body. 3 . The multilayer body according to claim 1 , wherein a lumen defined by an inner periphery of the inner multi-strand hollow body does not contain any solid structure. 4 . The multilayer body according to claim 3 , wherein a twisting angle of the single-strand hollow body is larger than a twisting angle of the inner multi-strand hollow body and a twisting angle of the outer multi-strand hollow body. 5 . The multilayer body according to claim 1 , further comprising: a solid structure that is disposed within a lumen defined by an inner periphery of the inner multi-strand hollow body, the solid structure extending in cross section from a center of the lumen to the inner periphery of the inner multi-strand hollow body. 6 . The multilayer body according to claim 5 , wherein the solid structure is an element wire. 7 . The multilayer body according to claim 5 , wherein a twisting angle of the single-strand hollow body is larger than a twisting angle of the inner multi-strand hollow body and a twisting angle of the outer multi-strand hollow body. 8 . A catheter, comprising: the multilayer body according to claim 3 ; a distal end tip that is connected to a distal end of the multilayer body; and a connector that is connected to a proximal end of the multilayer body. 9 . The catheter according to claim 8 , wherein a twisting angle of the single-strand hollow body is larger than a twisting angle of the inner multi-strand hollow body and a twisting angle of the outer multi-strand hollow body. 10 . A catheter comprising: an inner layer; the multilayer body according to claim 3 disposed on an outer periphery of the inner layer; an outer layer that covers the inner layer and the multilayer body; a distal end tip that is connected to a distal end of the inner layer and a distal end of the outer layer, wherein a distal end of the multilayer body protrudes into the distal end tip; and a connector that is connected to a proximal end of the inner layer, a proximal end of the outer layer, and a proximal end of the multilayer body. 11 . The catheter according to claim 10 , wherein a twisting angle of the single-strand hollow body is larger than a twisting angle of the inner multi-strand hollow body and a twisting angle of the outer multi-strand hollow body.
