A mobile computer may determine it is located in a vehicle or a conveyance based on a measured distance, satellite related positioning information, and a touch input.

What is claimed is: 1 . A mobile computer comprising: at least one sensor configured to measure a doppler shift of a received signal; and at least one processor configured to determine whether the mobile computer is in a vehicle or a conveyance based on the measured doppler shift. 2 . The mobile computer of claim 1 , wherein the received signal is a Wi-Fi signal. 3 . The mobile computer of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor is further configured to: transmit a Wi-Fi signal; and receive a reflected signal of the transmitted Wi-Fi signal as the received signal. 4 . A method for operating a mobile computer comprising: measuring a doppler shift of a received signal; and determining whether the mobile computer is in a vehicle or a conveyance based on the measured doppler shift. 5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the received signal is a Wi-Fi signal. 6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising: transmitting a Wi-Fi signal; and receiving a reflected signal of the transmitted Wi-Fi signal as the received signal.
