The method as described in claim 2 , further comprising: determining whether a search term of the search query matches a preset search term; and in response to a determination that the search term of the search query matches the preset search term, displaying another recommended search term to appear in the search box. 5 . The method as described in claim 2 , further comprising: determining whether a search term of the search query matches a preset search term; and in response to a determination that the search term of the search query matches the preset search term, displaying another recommended search term to appear in the search box, comprising: in response to a determination that the other recommended search term has been activated, opening the second web page. 6 . The method as described in claim 2 , wherein: the first information includes links to items relating to the first category; and the second information includes links to items relating to the second category. 7 . A system, comprising: a processor; and a memory coupled with the processor, wherein the memory is configured to provide the processor with instructions which when executed cause the processor to: receive a search query, at a client device, input by a user in a search box of a first web page that is being displayed; display a special event icon adjacent to the search box, at the client device, based at least in part on the search query; and in response to a determination that the special event icon is activated, open a second web page, the second web page having a first information relating to a first category and a second information relating to a second category, the first category being different from the second category. 8 . The system as described in claim 7 , further comprising to: determine whether a current time falls within a preset time range; and in response to a determination that the current time falls outside the preset time range, omit to display the special event icon on the first web page. 9 . The system as described in claim 7 , further comprising to: determine whether a search term of the search query matches a preset search term; and in response to a determination that the search term of the search query matches the preset search term, display another recommended search term to appear in the search box. 10 . The system as described in claim 7 , further comprising to: determine whether a search term of the search query matches a preset search term; and in response to a determination that the search term of the search query matches the preset search term, display another recommended search term to appear in the search box, comprising: in response to a determination that the other recommended search term has been activated, open the second web page. 11 . The system as described in claim 7 , wherein: the first information includes links to items relating to the first category; and the second information includes links to items relating to the second category. 12 . A computer program product being embodied in a tangible non-transitory computer readable storage medium and comprising computer instructions for: receiving a search query, at a client device, input by a user in a search box of a first web page that is being displayed; displaying a special event icon adjacent to the search box, at the client device, based at least in part on the search query; and in response to a determination that the special event icon is activated, opening a second web page, the second web page having a first information relating to a first category and a second information relating to a second category, the first category being different from the second category. 13 . The computer program product as described in claim 12 , further comprising: determining whether a current time falls within a preset time range; and in response to a determination that the current time falls outside the preset time range, omitting to display the special event icon on the first web page. 14 . The computer program product as described in claim 12 , further comprising: determining whether a search term of the search query matches a preset search term; and in response to a determination that the search term of the search query matches the preset search term, displaying another recommended search term to appear in the search box. 15 . The computer program product as described in claim 12 , further comprising: determining whether a search term of the search query matches a preset search term; and in response to a determination that the search term of the search query matches the preset search term, displaying another recommended search term to appear in the search box, comprising: in response to a determination that the other recommended search term has been activated, opening the second web page. 16 .
