A recording system may use the information stored in a list to determine whether to receive and/or respond to messages transmitted by notice systems. The source of the information for the list includes a server and/or the recording system itself. A server that provides the list may use data provided by an agency to determine a relationship between a people, recording devices and notice systems. The associations between people, recording devices and notice devices may be used to determine what information is in the list. A recording device that forms the list may receive messages from any notice system, detect the session identifier, store the session identifiers from received messages, and receive and/or respond to messages in accordance with the list formed by the recording system.

1 . A method performed by an evidence management system, the evidence management system includes a list engine, an agency data store, and a network interface, the method comprising: determining, using information from the agency data store, one or more associations between one or more individuals, one or more recording systems, and one or more notice systems; generating, in accordance with the one or more associations, a list that includes at least one entry, each entry includes one identifier of the one or more recording systems and at least one of a notice system type, a notice system data mask, and a notice system identifier of the one or more notice systems; transmitting the list, via the network interface, to at least one recording system. 2 . The method of claim 1 wherein determining comprises identifying each notice system and each recording system assigned to one user identified in the agency data store. 3 . The method of claim 1 wherein each notice system whose notice system identifier is in one entry is assigned to a same user as the recording system whose recording system identifier is in the same entry. 4 . The method of claim 1 wherein transmitting comprises transmitting the list to each recording system identified in any entry of the list. 5 . The method of claim 1 wherein transmitting comprises transmitting each entry of the list to the recording system identified in the entry. 6 . The method of claim 1 further comprising determining an association between users to identify a team, wherein generating is further performed in accordance with the associations of the team. 7 . The method of claim 1 further comprising identifying all users of an agency, wherein generating is further performed in accordance with identifying. 8 . A system for generating a list for filtering messages, the system comprising: a processing circuit; a network interface; and a computer-readable medium having computer-executable instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by the processing circuit, cause the system to: determine, using data from an agency, one or more associations between one or more individuals, one or more recording systems, and one or more notice systems; generate, in accordance with the one or more associations, a list that includes at least one entry, each entry includes one identifier of the one or more recording systems and at least one of a notice system type, a notice system data mask, and a notice system identifier of the one or more notice systems; transmit the list, via the network interface, to at least one recording system. 9 . The system of claim 8 wherein the associations identify each notice system and each recording system assigned to one user identified in the data from the agency. 10 . The system of claim 8 wherein each notice system whose notice system identifier is in one entry is assigned to a same user as the recording system whose recording system identifier is in the same entry. 11 . The system of claim 8 wherein the list comprises each notice system and each recording system assigned to one or more users identified in the data from the agency. 12 . The system of claim 8 wherein the processing circuit identifies each notice system and recording system assigned to one or more users identified in the data from the agency. 13 . The system of claim 8 wherein the processing circuit transmits the list to each recording system identified in any entry of the list. 14 . The system of claim 8 wherein the processing circuit receives the data from the agency to generate the list. 15 . The system of claim 8 wherein the processing circuit transmits each entry of the list to the recording system identified in the entry. 16 .- 42 . (canceled)
