Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A core network node, e.g. MME, and a first radio network node, e.g., eNB, are comprised in a wireless communication network. The core network node receives information about capability of a communication device with regard to a maximum supported transport block size, “TBS”. The core network node transmits, to the first radio network node, information about a limitation of the capability of the communication device with regard to maximum supported TBS. The information about the limitation is based on the received information about capability.

1 . A method, performed by a core network node, for transmitting information to be used for paging of a communication device to a first radio network node, the core network node and the first radio network node being comprised in a wireless communication network, comprising: receiving information about capability of the communication device with regard to a maximum supported transport block size; and transmitting, to the first radio network node, information about a limitation of the capability of the communication device with regard to maximum supported TBS, which information about the limitation is based on the received information about capability. 2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the received information is comprised in a registration message received from a serving radio network node. 3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the wireless communication network is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, the core network node is a Mobility Management Entity (MME) node, and the first radio network node is an evolved Node B (eNB), wherein the core network node transmits the information about limitation over at least one or more S1 interface. 4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein a paging message conveys the information about limitation of the capability of the communication device and is transmitted to the first radio network node. 5 . A method, performed by a first radio network node, for receiving information to be used for paging of a communication device from a core network node the first radio network node and the core network node being comprised in a wireless communication network, the method comprising: receiving, from the core network node, information about a limitation of the capability of the communication device with regard to maximum supported transport block size (TBS). 6 . The method according to claim 5 , wherein the method further comprises: paging the communication device based on the received information about the limitation. 7 . The method according to claim 5 , wherein the wireless communication network is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, the core network node is a Mobility Management Entity (MME) node, and the first radio network node is an evolved Node B (eNB), wherein the first radio network node receives the information about limitation over at least one S1 interface. 8 . The method according to claim 5 , wherein a paging message, received from the core network node, conveys the information about limitation of the capability of the communication device. 9 . A method, performed by a communication device, for providing information about capability of the communication device to a serving radio network node comprised in a wireless communication network, the method comprising: adding, a maximum supported transport block size (TBS) of the communication device to a message; and transmitting the message to the serving radio network node. 10 . The method according to claim 9 , wherein the wireless communication network is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network and the serving radio network node is an evolved Node B (eNB). 11 . A core network node for transmitting information to be used for paging of a communication device to a first radio network node, the first radio network node being comprised in a wireless communication network, the core network node being configured to be comprised in the wireless communication network and the core network node is further configured to: receive information about capability of the communication device with regard to a maximum supported transport block size (TBS); and transmit, to the first radio network node, information about a limitation of the capability of the communication device with regard to maximum supported TBS, which information about the limitation is based on received information about capability. 12 . The core network node according to claim 11 , wherein the information to receive is comprised in a registration message received from a serving radio network node. 13 . The core network node according to claim 11 , wherein the wireless communication network is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, the core network node is a Mobility Management Entity (MME) node, and the first radio network node is an evolved Node B (eNB), wherein the core network node is configured to transmit the information about limitation over at least one S1 interface. 14 . The core network node according to claim 11 , wherein a paging message conveys the information about limitation of the capability of the communication device and the core network node is configured to transmit the paging message to the first radio network node. 15 . A first radio network node for receiving information to be used for paging of a communication device from a core network node, the first radio network node being comprised in a wireless communication network, the first radio network node being configured to be comprised in the wireless communication network and the first radio network node is further configured to: receive, from the core network node information about a limitation of the capability of the communication device with regard to maximum supported transport block size (TBS). 16 . The first radio network node according to claim 15 , wherein the first radio network node is further configured to: page the communication device based on the received information about the limitation. 17 . The first radio network node according to claim 15 , wherein the wireless communication network is a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, the core network node is a Mobility Management Entity (MME) node, and the first radio network node is an evolved Node B (eNB), wherein the first radio network node is configured to receive the information about limitation over at least one S1 interface. 18 . The first radio network node according to claim 15 , wherein the information about limitation of the capability of the communication device is conveyed in a paging message. 19 . A communication device for providing information about capability of the communication device to a serving radio network node comprised in a wireless communication network, wherein the communication device being configured to: add, a maximum supported transport block size (TBS) of the communication device to a message; and transmit the message to the serving radio network node. 20 .
