A method for broadcasting contents and a device using the same are provided. The method for broadcasting contents includes displaying a host content window in which a first content is displayed, and displaying an application window in which a second content is displayed, the second content being provided by an application which is executed in the device, where only the first content among the first content and the second content is broadcast to an external device connected to the device.

What is claimed is: 1 . A content broadcasting method of a device, the method comprising: displaying a host content window in which a first content is displayed; and displaying an application window in which a second content is displayed, the second content being provided by an application which is executed in the device, wherein only the first content among the first content and the second content is broadcast to an external device connected to the device. 2 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein displaying the application window comprises displaying the application window in an area separated from an area where the host content window is displayed. 3 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising: in response to a user input to select a broadcast start icon included in the host content window being received while the host content window and the application window are displayed, broadcasting only the first content to the external device. 4 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising: in response to the first content being changed according to a user input, broadcasting the changed first content to the external device. 5 . The method as claimed in claim 1 , further comprising: displaying, on the host content window, a broadcast indicator that indicates whether the first content is being broadcast. 6 . A device comprising: a display; a communication unit configured to communicate with an external device; and a controller configured to control the display to display a host content window in which a first content is displayed and display an application window in which a second content is displayed, the second content being provided by an application which is executed in the device, wherein the controller broadcasts only the first content among the first content and the second content to the external device. 7 . The device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the controller displays the application window in an area separated from an area where the host content window is displayed. 8 . The device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein, in response to a user input to select a broadcast start icon included in the host content window being received while the host content window and the application window are displayed, the controller is configured to broadcast only the first content to the external device. 9 . The device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein, in response to the first content being changed according to a user input, the controller is configured to broadcast the changed first content to the external device. 10 . The device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the controller is configured to display, on the host content window, a broadcast indicator that indicates whether the first content is being broadcast.
