1 . An aqueous powder cosmetic composition for hair comprising water, hydrophobic colloidal silica and a water soluble non-ionic polyol having at least three hydroxyl groups and is solid at 25° C. 2 . The composition according to claim 1 , comprising less than 80% water calculated to the total of the composition. 3 . The composition according to claim 1 , comprising up to 15% calculated to the total of the composition, hydrophobic colloidal silica. 4 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the hydrophobic colloidal silica has a BET specific surface area in the range of 190 to 250 m2/g and tamped density in the range of 55 to 65 g/L according to DIN EN ISO 787/11 of August 2013. 5 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the water soluble non-ionic polyol solid at 25° C. has at least five hydroxyl groups. 6 . The composition according to claim 1 , wherein the water soluble non-ionic polyol solid at 25° C. is selected from sorbitol, saccharose, glucose, lactose and fructose. 7 . The composition according to claim 6 , wherein the water soluble non-ionic polyol solid at 25° C. is sorbitol. 8 . The composition according to claim 1 , comprising the water soluble non-ionic polyol solid at 25° C. at a concentration up to 45%, calculated to the total of the composition. 9 . The composition according to claim 1 , further comprising one or more film forming and/or setting polymer, selected from anionic, cationic, non-ionic and amphoteric ones, at a concentration in the range of 0.1 to 10% by weight calculated to the total of the composition. 10 . The composition according claim 1 , further comprising one or more hair direct dyes, selected from anionic, cationic and non-ionic nitro dyes. 11 . The composition according to claim 1 , further comprising one or more UV filter. 12 . (canceled) 13 . Process for styling and/or setting hair comprising the step of applying onto dry hair the composition according to claim 1 . 14 . Process for producing the composition according to claim 1 , comprising the steps of dissolving the water soluble polyol with at least three hydroxyl groups and is solid at 25° C. in water and adding thereto the hydrophobic colloidal silica, and mixing at high shear rate at ambient temperature. 15 . (canceled)
