To provide a means for sufficiently utilizing a high capacity characteristic of a solid solution positive electrode active material and capable of achieving satisfactory performance of a rate characteristic in an electrical device such as a lithium ion secondary battery containing a positive electrode using the solid solution positive electrode active material. An electrical device has a power generating element containing a positive electrode in which a positive electrode active material layer containing a positive electrode active material is formed on a surface of a positive electrode current collector, a negative electrode in which a negative electrode active material layer containing a negative electrode active material is formed on a surface of a negative electrode current collector, and a separator. The coating amount of the negative electrode active material layer is from 3 to 11 mg/cm 2 , and the negative electrode active material layer contains a negative electrode active material represented by formula (1). The positive electrode active material layer contains a positive electrode active material (solid solution positive electrode active material) represented by formula (2), and a material represented by formula (3) and having a predetermined amount of a predetermined element M on particle surfaces is used as the solid solution positive electrode active material contained in the positive electrode active material layer.

An electric device comprising a power generating element containing: a positive electrode in which a positive electrode active material layer containing a positive electrode active material is formed on the surface of a positive electrode current collector; a negative electrode in which a negative electrode active material layer containing a negative electrode active material is formed on the surface of a negative electrode current collector; and a separator, wherein the coating amount of the negative electrode active material layer is from 3 to 11 mg/cm 2 , the negative electrode active material layer contains a negative electrode active material represented by the following formula (1): [Numerical formula 1] α (Si-containing alloy)+β(carbon material)   (1) in the formula, α and β represent % by weight of each component in the negative electrode active material layer, 80≦α+β≦98, 3≦α≦40, and 40≦α≦95, the positive electrode active material layer contains a positive electrode active material represented by the following formula (2): [Numerical formula 2] e (solid solution positive electrode active material)   (2) in the formula, e represents % by weight of each component in the positive electrode active material layer, and 80≦e≦98, the solid solution positive electrode active material is represented by the following formula (3): [Numerical formula 3] Li 1.5 [Ni a Mn b Co c [Li] d ]O z   (3) in the formula, z represents the number of oxygen for satisfying the atomic valence, a+b+c+d=1.5, 0.1≦d≦0.4, and 1.1≦[a+b+c]≦1.4, and one or more kinds of elements M selected from the group consisting of Al, Zr, Ti, Nb, B, S, Sn, W, Mo, and V are present on particle surfaces of the solid solution positive electrode active material in an amount satisfying 0.002≦[M]/[a+b+c]≦0.05 when the amount of presence of the element M is represented by [M]. 2 . The electric device according to claim 1 , wherein the Si-containing alloy is formed of one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of Si x Ti y Ge z A a , Si x Ti y Zn z A a , Si x Ti y Sn z A a , Si x Sn y Al z A a , Si x Sn y V z A a , Si x Sn y C z A a , Si x Zn y V z A a , Si x Zn y Sn z A a , Si x Zn y Al z A a , Si x Zn y C z A a , Si x Al y C z A a , and Si x Al y Nb z A a (in the formula, A represents an inevitable impurity, x, y, z, and a represent % by weight, 0<x<100, 0<y<100, 0<z<100, 0<a<0.5, and x+y+z+a=100. 3 . The electric device according to claim 1 , wherein the electric device is a lithium ion secondary battery.
