The invention provides a modified quantum dot, a method for preparing the same, a coloring agent, a photosensitive resin composition, a color filter and a display device. Said modified quantum dot can improve the overall dispersibility and optical properties of the coloring agent, and further increase the contrast ratio of the display device. The modified quantum dot of the present invention has the following structure: the modified quantum dot comprises a core composed of quantum dots and a shell composed of amines containing a C6-C22 alkyl group, wherein, some or all amino groups in the amine form salts with an acid dye, and Y − is an anion in the acid dye, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 and R 6 are independently H or a C1-C6 alkyl group.
