An electronic device displays an image in a sequence of images. The sequence of images includes a representative image and images acquired by the camera before and after acquiring the representative image. While displaying the image, the device detects a first input and, in response, displays a user interface for trimming the sequence of images. The user interface includes: representations of images in the sequence of images; a begin-trim icon that delimits a beginning image in the subset of the sequence of images; and an end-trim icon that delimits an ending image in the subset of the sequence of images. The begin-trim and end-trim icons are located at positions that are automatically selected by the device. The device detects a second input and, in response, trims the sequence of images to the subset of the sequence of images based on the positions of the begin-trim and the end-trim icons.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method, comprising: at an electronic device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface: displaying an image on the display, wherein: the image is one image in a sequence of images taken by a camera; the sequence of images includes a representative image; the sequence of images includes one or more images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image; and the sequence of images includes one or more images acquired by the camera before acquiring the representative image; while displaying the image in the sequence of images on the display, detecting a first input; in response to detecting the first input: displaying a user interface for trimming the sequence of images to a subset, less than all, of the sequence of images, the user interface including: an area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images; a user-adjustable begin-trim icon that delimits a beginning image in the subset of the sequence of images via a position of the begin-trim icon in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images; and a user-adjustable end-trim icon that delimits an ending image in the subset of the sequence of images via a position of the end-trim icon in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images; wherein: the begin-trim icon is located at a first position, in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images, that is automatically selected by the device, and the end-trim icon is located at a second position, in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images, that is automatically selected by the device; while displaying the user interface for trimming the sequence of images, detecting a second input; and, in response to detecting a second input, trimming the sequence of images to the subset of the sequence of images in accordance with a current position of the begin-trim icon and a current position of the end-trim icon. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the subset of the sequence of images is a continuous set of images from the beginning image to the ending image. 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein representations of images between the begin-trim icon and the end-trim icon are visually distinguished from the other representations in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: the user interface for trimming the sequence of images includes a second area that displays the image in the sequence of images, and the second area is displayed concurrently with the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the displayed image is the representative image from the sequence of images. 6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the displayed image is a currently selected image from the sequence of images. 7 . The method of claim 1 , including: automatically selecting the beginning image in the subset and the corresponding first position of the begin-trim icon is based on one or more characteristics of the images in the sequence of images; and automatically selecting the ending image in the subset and the corresponding second position of the begin-trim icon is based on one or more characteristics of the images in the sequence of images. 8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the sequence of images includes an initial image and a final image, and the method includes: displaying, in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images, one or more representations of images, not included in the sequence of images, that were obtained before the initial image in the sequence of images and/or that were obtained after the final image in the sequence of images. 9 . The method of claim 1 , including: prior to detecting the second input, while displaying the user interface for trimming the sequence of images, detecting an input on the end-trim icon; and, in response to detecting the input on the end-trim icon, moving the end-trim icon from the second position to a third position in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images. 10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein: the sequence of images includes an initial image and a final image, and the user interface includes a reset affordance, and the method includes: prior to detecting the second input, while displaying the user interface for trimming the sequence of images, detecting an input on the reset affordance; and, in response to detecting the input on the reset affordance: displaying the begin-trim icon at a position, in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images, that corresponds to delimiting the initial image in the sequence of images, and displaying the end-trim icon at a position, in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images, that corresponds to delimiting the final image in the sequence of images. 11 . The method of claim 10 , including: in response to detecting the input on the reset affordance: displaying an automatic selection affordance that when activated displays the begin-trim icon at the first position and the end-trim icon at the second position, in the area that contains representations of images in the sequence of images. 12 . The method of claim 1 , including: deleting images, from the sequence of images, which are not included in the subset of the sequence of images. 13 . The method of claim 1 , including: in response to detecting a third input, selecting a new representative image for the subset of the sequence of images. 14 . The method of claim 1 , including: after trimming the sequence of images to the subset of the sequence of images in accordance with the current position of the begin-trim icon and the current position of the end-trim icon, displaying a representative image of the subset of the sequence of images on the display; while displaying the representative image on the display, detecting a third input; and, in response to detecting the third input, replacing display of the representative image with an animated playback of the subset of the sequence of images. 15 . The method of claim 14 , including: in response to detecting a fourth input, disabling the animated playback of the subset of the sequence of images while retaining the subset of images. 16 . The method of claim 1 , including: in response to detecting a third input that corresponds to a request to edit the representative image, providing a user of the device with options to: continue editing the representative image with the animated playback of the subset of the sequence of images disabled; and cancel editing the representative image. 17 . The method of claim 1 , including: presenting an affordance for deleting images in the sequence of images other than the representative image; and, in response to detecting a third input, deleting the one or more images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image and the one or more images acquired by the camera before acquiring the representative image. 18 . An electronic device, comprising: a display; a touch-sensitive surface; one or more processors; memory; and one or more programs, wherein the one or more programs are stored in the memory and configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for: displayi
