The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock which is equipped with a body-side lock housing and a hood-or-door-side locking bolt or vice-versa. The invention also relates to a locking and/or opening device. According to the invention, the locking and/or opening device engages on the outer side on the lock housing for the adjustment thereof with respect to a fixed base element in the course of a closing/opening process.

Motor vehicle door lock equipped with a body-side latch housing and a hood- or door-side locking bolt or vice versa and a locking and/or opening device, characterized in that the locking and/or opening device engages on an outer side on the latch housing for the adjustment thereof with respect to a fixed base element in the course of a closing/opening process. 2 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 1 , characterized in that the latch housing is connected to the base element in such a way that it can be pivoted around an axis. 3 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 2 , characterized in that a motorized drive is provided for the locking and/or opening device. 4 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 3 , characterized in that a motorized drive acts eccentrically on the locking and/or opening device. 5 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 4 , characterized in that the locking and/or opening device essentially comprises a rocker and a pawl engaging with the latch housing. 6 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 5 , characterized in that the rocker is pivotably connected to the base element. 7 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 6 , characterized in that the rocker and the latch housing are connected to the base housing in such a way that they can be pivoted around a common axis. 8 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 7 , characterized in that the pawl is pivotably mounted on the rocker. 9 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 8 , characterized in that the rocker contains a slot for engaging an actuating pin. 10 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 9 , characterized in that the actuating pin carries out a circular movement within the slot, initiated by the motorized drive, in order to pivot the rocker and thus also the latch housing around the axis in respect to the base element. 11 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 1 , characterized in that a motorized drive is provided for the locking and/or opening device. 12 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 1 , characterized in that a motorized drive acts eccentrically on the locking and/or opening device. 13 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 1 , characterized in that the locking and/or opening device essentially comprises a rocker and a pawl engaging with the latch housing. 14 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 13 , characterized in that the rocker is pivotably connected to the base element. 15 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 13 , characterized in that the rocker and the latch housing are connected to the base housing in such a way that they can be pivoted around a common axis. 16 . Motor vehicle door lock according to claim 13 , characterized in that the rocker contains a slot for engaging an actuating pin.
