An aircraft with a passenger cabin, comprising a first module for an aircraft cabin, the first module comprising: a door to open the module; and a seat fastened to the door; wherein a seat surface of the seat is configured to swivel from an essentially perpendicular stowage position into an essentially horizontal operating position, and wherein the module comprises a locking mechanism allowing the seat to swivel from the essentially perpendicular stowage position into the essentially horizontal operating position only if the door is locked. 10 . The aircraft of claim 9 , wherein the side of the first module on which the hinge component is located is situated in the area of the longitudinal axis of the aircraft. 11 . The aircraft of claim 9 , further comprising a second module situated directly adjacent to the side of the first module, on the side of the first module on which the hinge component is located. 12 .
