The present invention can provide a liquid developer that can accommodate faster process speeds by image forming apparatuses, in which a liquid developer that contains a toner particle and a carrier liquid, wherein the liquid developer contains a polymer compound having a prescribed structural unit in either of the toner particle or the carrier liquid.
