What is claimed is: 1 . A sole structure for an article of footwear, comprising: a first composite layer comprising a first base portion and a first bulging portion; a second composite layer comprising a second base portion and a second bulging portion, wherein the second bulging portion corresponds to the first bulging portion; the first composite layer being a first woven layer with a first weave orientation; the second composite layer being a second woven layer with a second weave orientation; and wherein the first weave orientation is substantially equal to the second weave orientation. 2 . The sole structure according to claim 1 , wherein the first weave orientation is approximately 0 degrees. 3 . The sole structure according to claim 1 , wherein the first weave orientation is approximately 45 degrees. 4 . The sole structure according to claim 1 , wherein the first weave orientation has a value in the range between 0 and 90 degrees. 5 . The sole structure according to claim 1 , wherein the first composite layer is substantially similar to the second composite layer. 6 . The sole structure according to claim 1 , wherein the sole structure consists essentially of two layers. 7 . The sole structure according to claim 1 , further comprising a third composite layer. 8 . A sole member for an article of footwear, comprising: a sole structure and a reinforcing member; the sole structure including: a first composite layer comprising a first base portion and a first bulging portion; a second composite layer comprising a second base portion and a second bulging portion, wherein the second bulging portion corresponds to the first bulging portion; wherein the first composite layer is a woven layer with a first weave orientation and wherein the second composite layer is a woven layer with a second weave orientation; the reinforcing member disposed against the second base portion in a region corresponding to the second bulging portion; and wherein the reinforcing member includes a cut-out portion that is configured to receive a central portion of the second bulging portion. 9 . The sole member according to claim 8 , wherein the woven layer of the first composite layer has a first weave orientation of approximately 0 degrees. 10 . The sole member according to claim 8 , wherein the woven layer of the first composite layer has a first weave orientation of approximately 45 degrees. 11 . The sole member according to claim 8 , wherein the woven layer of the first composite layer has a first weave orientation with a value in the range between 0 and 90 degrees. 12 . The sole member according to claim 11 , wherein the woven layer of the second composite layer has a second weave orientation, and wherein the first weave orientation is substantially equal to the second weave orientation. 13 . The sole member according to claim 11 , wherein the woven layer of the second composite layer has a second weave orientation, and wherein the first weave orientation is substantially different from the second weave orientation. 14 . The sole member according to claim 8 , wherein the first composite layer and the second composite layer each comprise a substantially similar geometry. 15 . The sole member according to claim 8 , further comprising a third composite layer. 16 . A sole member for an article of footwear, comprising: a sole structure and a reinforcing member; the sole structure including: a base portion, the base portion including a first side and a second side; a bulging portion extending distally from the first side of the base portion; the bulging portion comprising a peripheral portion and a central portion, the central portion being bounded by the peripheral portion; the central portion being recessed with respect to the peripheral portion; the reinforcing member disposed against the second side of the base portion in a region corresponding to the bulging portion; a first composite layer and a second composite layer; the first composite layer including a first woven composite portion; and the second composite layer including a second woven composite portion. 17 . The sole member according to claim 16 , wherein the first woven composite portion is made of a material that includes carbon fiber. 18 . The sole member according to claim 16 , wherein the first woven composite portion comprises a first set of filaments that are woven in a substantially perpendicular fashion with a second set of filaments. 19 . The sole member according to claim 16 , wherein the first woven composite portion has a first weave orientation, and wherein the second woven composite portion has a second weave orientation that is substantially equal to the first weave orientation. 20 . The sole member according to claim 16 , wherein the first woven composite portion has a first weave orientation, and wherein the second woven composite portion has a second weave orientation that is substantially different from the first weave orientation.
