A control method includes initially operating a compressor at the same RPM as an operating RPM of the compressor during a previous cycle, adjusting the RPM in consideration of an operation rate of the previous cycle such that the RPM is increased when the operation rate is greater than a first set value, reduced when the operation rate is less than a second set value, and maintained when the operation rate is within a range between the first set value and the second set value, and operating the compressor at the adjusted RPM, the first set value being greater than the second set value.

A control method of a refrigerator, the refrigerator comprising a cabinet having a storage compartment for storing food therein, a door for opening and closing the storage compartment, an evaporator placed in the storage compartment, a temperature sensor for measuring a temperature inside the storage compartment, a compressor having a variable speed, and a compressor controller for controlling an operation of the compressor via the temperature sensor, the control method comprising: a first step of operating the compressor; a second step of terminating the operation of the compressor when the temperature measured by the temperature sensor in the first step reaches a set temperature; a third step of performing the first step and the second step during a plurality of cycles; a fourth step of measuring a compressor operation time and a total time of the cycles while the cycles are performed in the third step; a fifth step of calculating an operation rate by dividing the compression operation time by the total time; a sixth step of comparing the operation rate calculated in the fifth step with a set value; and a seventh step of adjusting a RPM of the compressor based on the comparative result of the sixth step. 22 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein one cycle includes the first step and the second step, which are performed in sequence. 23 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein the cycles include the first step and the second step, each of which is performed two times. 24 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein the operation rate is an average value of the cycles performed two times. 25 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein a speed of the compressor is variable between a low speed RPM, a middle speed RPM, and a high speed RPM, and wherein the compressor is operated at the middle speed RPM in the first step. 26 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein the temperature sensor includes a thermostat. 27 . The control method according to claim 26 , wherein the thermostat remains in a closed state so that current is supplied to a drive unit of the compressor when the temperature inside the storage compartment has not yet reached the set temperature. 28 . The control method according to claim 26 , wherein the thermostat is changed to an opened state so that the current is no longer supplied to the drive unit of the compressor when the temperature inside the storage compartment has reached the set temperature. 29 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein the set value includes a first set value, and wherein the RPM of the compressor is increased in the seventh step when the operation rate is greater than the first set value. 30 . The control method according to claim 29 , wherein the first set value is 80%. 31 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein the set value includes a second set value, and wherein the RPM of the compressor is reduced in the seventh step when the operation rate is less than the second set value. 32 . The control method according to claim 31 , wherein the second set value is 40%. 33 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein the set value includes a first set value and a second set value, and wherein the RPM of the compressor is maintained in the seventh step when the operation rate is within a range between the first set value and the second set value. 34 . The control method according to claim 33 , wherein the first set value is 80% and the second set value is 40%. 35 . The control method according to claim 21 , further comprising an eighth step of operating the compressor at the RPM of the compressor adjusted in the seventh step. 36 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein the RPM of the compressor is increased when a set time has passed in the first step. 37 . The control method according to claim 21 , wherein the compressor is operated at a RPM of the compressor during a previous cycle in the first step. 38 . A refrigerator comprising: a cabinet having a storage compartment for storing food therein; a door for opening and closing the storage compartment; an evaporator placed in the storage compartment; a drive unit for compressing refrigerant supplied to the evaporator; a thermostat for measuring a temperature inside the storage compartment so as to open or close a circuit for supplying current to the drive unit; a timer for measuring a time, during which the drive unit is operated, and a time from a point in time at which the drive unit starts to be operated to a point in time at which the drive unit resumes an operation; and a compressor controller for adjusting a RPM of the drive unit via the timer and the thermostat. 39 . The refrigerator according to claim 38 , wherein the thermostat maintains the circuit closed so that current is supplied to the drive unit when the temperature inside the storage compartment has not yet reached a set temperature. 40 . The refrigerator according to claim 38 , wherein the thermostat opens the circuit so that the current is no longer supplied to the drive unit when the temperature inside the storage compartment has reached the set temperature. 41 . The refrigerator according to claim 38 , wherein the timer measures the time, during which the drive unit is operated, and the time from the point in time at which the drive unit starts to be operated to the point in time at which the drive unit resumes the operation a plurality of times 42 . The refrigerator according to claim 41 , wherein the compressor controller calculates an operation rate by dividing the time, during which the drive unit is operated, by the time from the point in time at which the drive unit starts to be operated to the point in time at which the drive unit resumes the operation. 43 . The refrigerator according to claim 42 , wherein the timer successively measures the time, during which the drive unit is operated, and the time from the point in time at which the drive unit starts to be operated to the point in time at which the drive unit resumes the operation while a plurality of cycles is performed. 44 . The refrigerator according to claim 38 , wherein the compressor controller adjusts the RPM of the drive unit by comparing the calculated operation rate with a set value. 45 . The refrigerator according to claim 43 , wherein the compressor controller adjusts the RPM of the drive unit by comparing an average value of operation rates of the cycles with the set value. 46 . The refrigerator according to claim 44 , wherein the set value includes a first set value, and wherein the compressor controller increases the RPM of the drive unit when the operation rate is greater than the first set value. 47 . The refrigerator according to claim 46 , wherein the first set value is 80%. 48 . The refrigerator according to claim 44 , wherein the set value includes a second set value, and wherein the compressor controller reduces the RPM of the drive unit when the operation rate is less than the second set value. 49 .
