Official abstract text for this publication.
The present invention relates to the field of regulating and presetting pump rates of blood pumps. It is directed at a device and a method in which the blood pressures are monitored upstream and/or downstream from the blood pump, and these values or another value formed from these values are compared with a limit value, which depends on an operating parameter or a pump parameter on the blood pump. In violation of the limit value, the pump rate of the blood pump is modified to such an extent or a new pump rate is determined so that the limit value is no longer violated or the degree of violation is reduced.

1 . A method for controlling a blood pump, comprising the steps: Determining a current pump rate of the blood pump; Determining the blood pressure upstream and/or downstream from the blood pump; Controlling the blood pump at a new pump rate when the blood pressure upstream and/or downstream from the blood pump and/or the difference in the blood pressure values upstream and downstream from the blood pump violate a limit value, which depends on an operating parameter or a pump parameter of the blood pump, which would result in the limit value no longer being violated or the difference in the blood pressure downstream from the blood pump and this limit value or upstream from the blood pump and this limit value would become smaller. 2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the limit value is defined, so that a certain blood damage incidence is not exceeded. 3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the blood pump is arranged in an extracorporeal blood circulation of a blood treatment machine. 2 . The method according to claim 2 , wherein the blood treatment machine is a dialysis machine, a machine for supporting heart and lung activity or a machine for supporting liver function. 5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the blood pump is a centrifugal pump and the operating parameter is the pump rate. 5 . The method according to claim 5 , wherein the blood pressure upstream from the centrifugal pump is determined from the blood pressure downstream from the centrifugal pump and the rotational speed of the centrifugal pump or wherein the blood pressure downstream from the centrifugal pump is determined from the blood pressure upstream from the centrifugal pump and the rotational speed of the centrifugal pump. 7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein a preferred range for an operating point of the blood pump is defined by a maximum blood pressure which depends on the pump rate upstream and/or downstream from the centrifugal pump, and wherein the blood pump is triggered at a new pump rate such that the working point of the blood pump is within the allowed range or the smallest possible interval between the working point and the allowed range is established. 8 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the blood pump is a hose reel pump which is occluding in normal operation, and the pump parameter is the occlusive force of the hose reel pump. 9 . A device comprising a control unit, a blood pump, which can be controlled by the control unit and at least one sensor for detecting the blood pressure upstream and/or downstream from the blood pump, wherein the control unit is configured so that an initial pump rate of the blood pump is to be established or to be determined and in the event that the blood pressure upstream and/or downstream from the blood pump and/or the difference in the blood pressures upstream and downstream from the blood pump violate(s) a limit, value which depends on an operating parameter or a pump parameter of the blood pump, the pump rate of the blood pump is adjusted until the limit value is no longer violated or the difference in the blood pressure downstream from the blood pump and this limit value or upstream from the blood pump and this limit value becomes smaller. 9 . The device according to claim 9 , wherein the limit value is linked to a blood damage incidence. 9 . The device according to claim 9 , wherein the blood pump is a centrifugal pump and the operating parameter is the pump rate of the blood pump. 11 . The device according to claim 11 , wherein the control unit is equipped to determine the blood pressure upstream from the centrifugal pump from the blood pressure downstream from the centrifugal pump and from the rotational speed of the centrifugal pump or wherein the control unit is equipped to determine the blood pressure downstream from the centrifugal pump from the blood pressure upstream from the centrifugal pump and from the rotational speed of the centrifugal pump. 13 . The device according to claim 9 , wherein the blood pump is a hose reel pump that is occluding during normal operation, and the pump parameter is the occlusive force of the hose reel pump. 9 . The device according to claim 9 , wherein a preferred range for an operating point of the blood pump which is defined by a maximum blood pressure, which depends on the pump rate, upstream and/or downstream from the centrifugal pump is stored and wherein a new pump rate is established so that the working point of the blood pump is within the allowed range or the smallest possible interval between the working point and the allowed range is established. 15 . A blood treatment machine, in particular a dialysis machine, a machine for supporting heart and lung activity or a machine for supporting liver function with an apparatus according to claim 9 . 16 . The blood treatment machine according to claim 15 , having an extracorporeal blood circulation, comprising a blood treatment component, designed in particular as a dialyser with an arterial blood branch and a venous blood branch. 17 . The blood treatment machine according to claim 16 , wherein at least parts of the extracorporeal blood circulation are designed as disposal parts.
