A system includes a method for detecting a signal interference in a communication signal of a wireless communication system. An identified source of the signal interference is determined according to an interference profile of a plurality of interference profiles associated with an interference profile library having information that approximates characteristics of the signal interference. The signal interference of the communication signal is mitigated according to an interference parameter associated with the identified source by filtering the communication signal according to the interference parameter.

What is claimed is: 1 . A device, comprising: a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations, comprising: identifying a source of a first signal interference to a first communication signal of a wireless communication system according to a first interference profile of the first signal interference; retrieving an interference parameter associated with the source of the first signal interference that is identified; and transmitting to a mobile communication device the interference parameter associated with the source of the first signal interference that is identified, wherein the mobile communication device selects a digital filter type for processing the first communication signal according to the interference parameter, and wherein the digital filter type mitigates the first signal interference of the first communication signal. 2 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the digital filter type comprises a band pass filter, a high pass filter, a low pass filter, or any combination thereof. 3 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise: receiving the first communication signal of the wireless communication system; and detecting the first signal interference in a first resource block of a plurality of resource blocks in a radio frequency spectrum of the first communication signal. 4 . The device of claim 3 , wherein the operations further comprise: measuring a plurality of power levels of the plurality of resource blocks; determining a baseline power level from the plurality of power levels; and determining a threshold from the baseline power level, wherein the threshold is used for detecting the first signal interference. 5 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise comparing, by the system, the first signal interference with a plurality of interference profiles of an interference profile library, wherein the source of the first signal interference is identified according to at least approximate matching between the first signal interference and an interference profile of the plurality of interference profiles of the interference profile library based on the comparing. 6 . The device of claim 5 , further comprising updating the interference profile library according to determining the source. 7 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising setting a filter parameter of a signal processing filter according to the interference parameter. 8 . The device of claim 1 , wherein the mobile communication device mitigates the first signal interference of a second communication signal of the wireless communication system. 9 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting information indicating the source of the first signal interference to the wireless communication system. 10 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising monitoring frequencies of interference associated with the source of the first signal interference. 11 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising monitoring locations of interference associated with the source of the first signal interference. 12 . The device of claim 1 , further comprising: detecting a second signal interference in a second resource block of a plurality of resource blocks in a radio frequency spectrum of the first communication signal; determining that the second signal interference does not match any of a plurality of interference profiles associated with an interference profile library; and transmitting information indicating that the second signal interference is caused by an unknown source of interference. 13 . The device of claim 12 , wherein the operations further comprise updating the interference profile library according to the unknown source of interference. 14 . A machine-readable storage medium, comprising executable instructions that, when executed by a processing system including a processor, facilitate performance of operations, comprising: comparing, by the system, a first signal interference of a first communication signal with a plurality of interference profiles of an interference profile library; identifying a source of the first signal interference according to at least approximate matching between the first signal interference and an interference profile of the plurality of interference profiles of the interference profile library based on the comparing; and transmitting to a mobile communication device an interference parameter associated with the source of the first signal interference that is identified, wherein the mobile communication device selects a digital filter type for processing the first communication signal according to the interference parameter. 15 . The machine-readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the digital filter type comprises a band pass filter, a high pass filter, a low pass filter, or any combination thereof. 16 . The machine-readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the operations further comprise: receiving the first communication signal; and detecting the first signal interference in a first resource block of a plurality of resource blocks in a radio frequency spectrum of the first communication signal. 17 . The device of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise: measuring a plurality of power levels of the plurality of resource blocks; determining a baseline power level from the plurality of power levels; and determining a threshold from the baseline power level, wherein the threshold is used for detecting the first signal interference. 18 . The device of claim 14 , further comprising setting a filter parameter of a signal processing filter according to the interference parameter. 19 . A method, comprising: identifying, by processing system including a processor, a source of a first signal interference to a first communication signal of a wireless communication system according to a first interference profile of the first signal interference; and transmitting, by the processing system, to a mobile communication device an interference parameter associated with the source of the first signal interference that is identified, wherein the mobile communication device selects a digital filter type for processing the first communication signal according to the interference parameter. 20 . The method of claim 19 , further comprising: receiving, by the processing system, the first communication signal of the wireless communication system; and detecting, by the processing system, the first signal interference in a first resource block of a plurality of resource blocks in a radio frequency spectrum of the first communication signal.
