An information processing apparatus, for recording data in a magnetic storage medium by a shingled magnetic recording, and a method of controlling this, when a rewrite of data stored in the magnetic storage medium is instructed, copy data of a zone in which rewrite target data is stored other than the rewrite target data into a vacant zone of the magnetic storage medium; store, to the vacant zone into which the data is copied, the rewrite target data, delete by overwriting an entirety of the zone in which the rewrite target data is stored with predetermined data, and register the overwritten zone as an unused area.

(canceled) 4 : An information processing apparatus for recording data in a magnetic storage medium by a shingled magnetic recording, the apparatus comprising: a copy unit configured to, in a case that a deletion of data stored in the magnetic storage medium is instructed, copy data other than deletion target data in a zone in which the deletion target data is stored into a vacant zone of the magnetic storage medium; an overwriting unit configured to overwrite a track of the zone in which the deletion target data is stored with predetermined data; and a registration unit configured to register the track as an unused area, wherein the copy unit, the overwriting unit, and the registration unit are implemented by at least one processor and a memory. 5 : An information processing apparatus for recording data in a magnetic storage medium by a shingled magnetic recording, the apparatus comprising: a reading unit configured to, in a case that a deletion of data stored in the magnetic storage medium is instructed, read non-deletion target data other than deletion target data positioned after the deletion target data in a zone in which the deletion target data is stored; an overwriting unit configured to overwrite from a head of the deletion target data with the non-deletion target data read by the reading unit; and a registration unit configured to register, as an unused area, an area, in the zone, positioned after an area in which the overwriting unit has overwritten or written with the non-deletion target data, wherein the reading unit, the overwriting unit, and the registration unit are implemented by at least one processor and a memory. 6 . (canceled) 7 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 5 , further comprising: a first deletion unit configured to, in a case where an amount of the data read by the reading unit is less than an amount of the deletion target data, delete by overwriting with dummy data the deletion target data not overwritten by the overwriting unit, wherein the first deletion unit is implemented by the at least one processor and the memory. 8 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 5 , further comprising: a second deletion unit configured to, in a case where the non-deletion target data stored positioned after the deletion target data in the zone does not exist, delete the deletion target data by overwriting with dummy data, wherein the second deletion unit is implemented by the at least one processor and the memory. 9 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the overwriting unit performs overwriting processing in a complete delete mode for completely deleting data. 10 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 , further comprising: a determination unit configured to, based on content registered by the registration unit, determine whether or not there is a zone in which valid data and an unused area are included; and a cleaning unit configured to perform a defragmentation of a zone determined by the determination unit to be the zone in which the valid data and the unused area are included, wherein the determination unit and the cleaning unit are implemented by the at least one processor and the memory. 11 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the cleaning unit, after data of the zone in which valid data and an unused area are included is copied into a vacant zone, registers the zone as an unused area, or performs cleaning by overwriting valid data positioned after the unused area from a head of the unused area of the zone in which the valid data and the unused area are included, and by registering, as an unused area, an area from the data that is overwritten of the zone. 12 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 10 , further comprising: a time counting unit configured to count a time period over which an access request to the magnetic storage medium continuously does not occur, wherein the determination unit and the cleaning unit are activated when the time counting unit counts a predetermined period of time, and wherein the time counting unit is implemented by the at least one processor and the memory. 13 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the overwriting unit performs overwriting a predetermined number of times. 14 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the complete delete mode is set to a features register in an SATA or ATA standard. 15 : A method of controlling an information processing apparatus for recording data in a magnetic storage medium by a shingled magnetic recording, the method comprising: copying data other than deletion target data in a zone in which the deletion target data is stored into a vacant zone of the magnetic storage medium, in a case that a deletion of data stored in the magnetic storage medium is instructed; overwriting a track of the zone in which the deletion target data is stored with predetermined data; and registering the track as an unused area. 16 . (canceled) 17 : A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a processor to execute a method of controlling an information processing apparatus for recording data in a magnetic storage medium by a shingled magnetic recording, the method comprising: copying data other than deletion target data in a zone in which the deletion target data is stored into a vacant zone of the magnetic storage medium, in a case that a deletion of data stored in the magnetic storage medium is instructed; overwriting a track of the zone in which the deletion target data is stored with predetermined data; and registering the track as an unused area. 18 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein the overwriting unit performs overwriting processing in a complete delete mode for completely deleting data. 19 : The information processing apparatus according to claim 5 , further comprising: a determination unit configured to, based on content registered by the registration unit, determine whether or not there is a zone in which valid data and an unused area are included; and a cleaning unit configured to perform-a defragmentation of a zone determined by the determination unit to be the zone in which the valid data and the unused area are included, wherein the determination unit and the cleaning unit are implemented by the at least one processor and the memory. 20 : A method of controlling an information processing apparatus for recording data in a magnetic storage medium by a shingled magnetic recording, the method comprising: reading non-deletion target data other than deletion target data positioned-after the deletion target data in a zone in which the deletion target data is stored, in a case that a deletion of data stored in the magnetic storage medium is instructed; overwriting from a head of the deletion target data with the non-deletion target data read by in reading; and registering, as an unused area, an area, in the zone, positioned after an area in which overwriting or writing has been performed with the non-deletion target data. 21 : A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program for causing a processor to execute a method of controlling an information processing apparatus for recording data in a magnetic storage medium by a shingled magnetic recording, the method comprising: reading non-deletion target data other tha
