A filter element ( 3 ), which has an oval cross-section in a longitudinal direction (LR) thereof and includes a circumferential sealing device ( 10 ) for, in particular, radially sealing the filter element ( 3 ) off from a filter holder ( 2 ) for the filter element ( 3 ), wherein the sealing device ( 3 ) has two first curvature sections ( 35, 36 ) arranged one facing the other and two second curvature sections ( 38, 39 ) arranged one facing the other, wherein the first curvature sections ( 35, 36 ) each have a first radius of curvature (R 35 , R 36 ) and the second curvature sections ( 38, 39 ) each have a second radius of curvature (R 38 , R 39 ), and wherein the first radius of curvature (R 35 , R 36 ) differs from the second radius of curvature (R 38 , R 39 ).

1 . A filter element ( 3 ), comprising: an oval cross-section in a longitudinal direction (LR) thereof; an oval filter body ( 4 ) configured for through flow; and a circumferential sealing device ( 4 ) configured to radially seal the filter element ( 10 ) off from a filter holder ( 2 ) into which the filter element ( 3 ) is receivable; wherein the sealing device ( 3 ) has two first curvature sections ( 35 , 36 ) arranged one facing the other; and two second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ) arranged one facing the other; wherein the first curvature sections ( 35 , 36 ) each have a first radius of curvature (R 35 , R 36 ); wherein the second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ) each have a second radius of curvature (R 38 , R 39 ); and wherein the first radius of curvature (R 35 , R 36 ) differs from the second radius of curvature (R 38 , R 39 ). 2 . The filter element according to claim 1 , wherein centers of curvature (M 35 , M 36 ) of the first radii of curvature (R 35 , R 36 ) are arranged on a first straight line ( 37 ); wherein centers of curvature (M 38 , M 39 ) of the second radii of curvature (R 38 , R 39 ) are arranged on a second straight line ( 40 ); and wherein the first straight line ( 37 ) is positioned so as to be perpendicular to the second straight line ( 40 ). 3 . The filter element according to claim 2 , wherein the second straight line ( 40 ) is arranged centrally between the centers of curvature (M 35 , M 36 ) of the first radii of curvature (R 35 , R 36 ); and/or the first straight line ( 37 ) is arranged centrally between the centers of curvature (M 38 , M 39 ) of the second radii of curvature (R 38 , R 39 ). 4 . The filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the filter element ( 3 ) comprises: an end plate ( 7 ) and the filter body ( 4 ) is connected to the end plate ( 7 ); and wherein the sealing device ( 10 ) is arranged on a front side ( 9 ) of the end plate ( 7 ) facing away from the filter body ( 4 ). 5 . The filter element according to claim 4 , wherein the sealing device ( 10 ) has an outer contour ( 41 ) and/or an inner surface ( 43 ) or sealing surface is arranged so as not to be parallel to an outer contour ( 42 ) of the end plate ( 7 ) and/or an outer surface ( 29 ) of the filter body ( 4 ). 6 . The filter element according to claim 4 , wherein the filter element ( 3 ) comprises: an inflow protector ( 12 ) enclosing the filter body ( 4 ) at least in some sections. 7 . The filter element according to claim 6 , wherein the inflow protector ( 12 ) is adhesive fixed onto, welded onto, or fused onto the filter body ( 4 ) and/or the end plate ( 7 ). 8 . The filter element according to claim 6 , wherein the inflow protector ( 12 ) is fluid-tight, impermeable to fluid flow through the inflow protector. 9 . The filter element according to claim 6 , wherein the inflow protector ( 12 ) runs annularly about an exterior of the filter body ( 4 ). 10 . The filter element ( 3 ) according to claim 4 , wherein the oval cross-section is defined by the filter body ( 4 ) from the filter medium; wherein the end plate ( 7 ) is an open end plate; wherein two first curvature sections of greater curvature that face one another and are connected to one another by two second curvature sections that face one another and are less curved than the first curvature sections; wherein the filter element ( 3 ) further comprises an oval circumferential sealing device ( 10 ) configured to radially seal the filter element ( 3 ) in the filter holder ( 2 ); wherein the sealing device ( 3 ) comprises two first curvature sections ( 35 , 36 ) of greater curvature that are arranged one facing the other; and two second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ) that are arranged one facing the other and are less curved than the first curvature sections; wherein the second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ) of the sealing device ( 10 ) are more curved than the second curvature sections of the oval cross-section defined by the filter body ( 4 ). 11 . The filter element according to claim 10 , wherein the second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ) of the sealing device ( 10 ) are more curved than a comparison curve (VK) that can be compared with respect to the position thereof on the end plate ( 7 ) and is substantially parallel and concentric to an inner and/or outer contour ( 42 ) of the end plate ( 7 ) and/or the filter body ( 4 ). 12 . The filter element according to claim 10 , wherein the second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ) of the sealing device ( 10 ) are more curved than the inner and/or outer contour ( 42 ) of the end plate ( 7 ) and/or filter body ( 4 ) in the region of the second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ). 13 . The filter element according to claim 10 , wherein the second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ) of the sealing device ( 10 ) are more curved than the inner and outer contour ( 42 ) of the end plate ( 7 ) and/or filter body ( 4 ) in the region of the second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ). 14 . The filter element according to claim 10 , wherein the first curvature sections of the sealing device and/or the filter body are connected to one another by the second curvature sections of the seal or filter body in such a manner that the first and second curvature sections each merge, in particular, continuously into one another. 15 . The filter element according to claim 10 , wherein the sealing device ( 10 ) is arranged within an imaginary axial continuation of a filter body outer surface ( 29 ) and/or the cross-section of the filter body ( 4 ) and/or an outer contour ( 42 ) of an open end plate ( 7 ) in the longitudinal direction (LR). 16 . The filter element according to claim 10 , wherein the sealing device ( 10 ) has a seal inner surface ( 43 ) in the middle of the less-curved curvature sections of the filter body and/or of the sealing device ( 10 ) has a smaller distance to the outer surface ( 29 ) and/or the outer contour ( 42 ) of an open end plate ( 7 ) than in the transitional region between the more- and less-curved curvature sections of the filter body and/or the sealing device. 17 . A filter arrangement ( 1 ), comprising a filter holder ( 2 ) having a holding section ( 19 ); a filter element ( 3 ) held in the holding section ( 19 ) of the filter holder ( 2 ), the filter element including: an oval cross-section in a longitudinal direction (LR) thereof; an oval filter body ( 4 ) configured for through flow; and a circumferential sealing device ( 4 ) configured to radially seal the filter element ( 10 ) off from a filter holder ( 2 ) into which the filter element ( 3 ) is receivable; wherein the sealing device ( 3 ) has two first curvature sections ( 35 , 36 ) arranged one facing the other; and two second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ) arranged one facing the other; wherein the first curvature sections ( 35 , 36 ) each have a first radius of curvature (R 35 , R 36 ); wherein the second curvature sections ( 38 , 39 ) each have a second radius of curvature (R 38 , R 39 ); and wherein the first radius of curvature (R 35 , R 36 ) differs from the second radius of curvature (R 38 , R 39 ). 18 . The filter arrangement according to claim 17 , wherein the holding section ( 19 ) comprises an engagement region ( 27 ), with which a circumferential sealing device ( 10 ) of the filter element ( 3 ) engages, and wherein the sealing device ( 10 ) rests against the engagement region ( 27 ) with an inner surface ( 43 ).
