Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Methods, systems, and products notify of alarms associated with security systems. An alarm is detected by an alarm controller, and an alarm message is sent to notify of the alarm. The alarm message identifies a unique network address assigned to the alarm controller. The alarm controller then receives a Voice-over Internet Protocol call to the unique network address to verify the alarm.

1 . A method, comprising: detecting, by an alarm controller, an alarm condition based on an output generated by a sensor, the sensor associated with a security system; retrieving, by the alarm controller, a network address associated with a cellular network; and sending, by the alarm controller, an alarm message via the cellular network that is addressed to the network address, the alarm message notifying of the alarm condition. 2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising receiving a call to confirm the alarm condition. 3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising establishing wireless communication with a base station. 4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising establishing wireless cellular communication with a base station. 5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising identifying an address assigned to the alarm controller in a header of a packet. 6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising querying for video data captured prior to the determining the alarm condition. 7 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising querying for video data captured after the determining the alarm condition. 8 . A system, comprising: a processor; and a memory device, the memory device storing code, the code when executed causing the processor to perform operations, the operations comprising: detecting an alarm condition based on an output sent from a sensor to an alarm controller associated with a security system; retrieving a network address based on access point name associated with a cellular network; and sending an alarm message via the cellular network that is addressed to the network address based on the access point name, the alarm message notifying of the alarm condition. 9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise receiving a call to confirm the alarm condition. 10 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise establishing wireless communication with a base station. 11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise establishing wireless cellular communication with a base station. 12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise identifying an address assigned to the alarm controller in a header of a packet. 13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise querying for video data captured prior to the determining the alarm condition. 14 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise querying for video data captured after the determining the alarm condition. 15 . A memory device storing code which when executed causes a processor to perform operations, the operations comprising: detecting an alarm condition based on an output sent from a sensor to an alarm controller associated with a security system; retrieving a network address based on access point name associated with a cellular network; and sending an alarm message via the cellular network that is addressed to the network address based on the access point name, the alarm message notifying of the alarm condition. 16 . The memory device of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise receiving a call to confirm the alarm condition. 17 . The memory device of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise establishing wireless communication with a base station. 18 . The memory device of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise establishing wireless cellular communication with a base station. 19 . The memory device of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise identifying an address assigned to the alarm controller in a header of a packet. 20 . The memory device of claim 16 , wherein the operations further comprise querying for video data captured prior to the determining the alarm condition.
