Embodiments relate to supporting a decision making process. The method generates a graph that represents a decision making process. The graph comprises a plurality of nodes and a plurality of edges connecting the nodes. The nodes represent local decisions contributing to a global decision of the decision making process. Each node is associated with one or more parameters used for modeling the local decision. Each edge is associated with one or more parameters used for defining a relationship between two nodes. The method simulates the graph based at least in part on the parameters of the nodes and edges to derive an output global decision of the decision making process. The method receives a change to at least one of the parameters of the graph from a user and simulates the graph based at least in part on the at least one changed parameter to determine that the output global decision changes.

What is claimed is: 1 . A computer-implemented method for supporting a decision making process, comprising: generating, by at least one computer, a graph that represents a decision making process, the graph comprising a plurality of nodes and a plurality of edges connecting the nodes, the nodes representing local decisions contributing to a global decision of the decision making process, each node associated with one or more parameters used for modeling the local decision represented by the node, each edge associated with one or more parameters used for defining a relationship between two nodes connected by the edge; simulating, by the at least one computer, the graph based at least in part on the parameters of the nodes and edges to derive an output global decision of the decision making process; receiving a change to at least one of the parameters for at least one of the nodes and edges of the graph from a user; and simulating the graph based at least in part on the at least one changed parameter to determine that the output global decision of the decision making process changes. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the generating a graph comprises, for each node: constructing a model from one or more sets of digital artifacts, the model associated with a set of parameters; deriving the local decision represented by the node by executing the constructed model using the set of parameters for the model; and saving the constructed model in a repository for future use. 3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising; evaluating a quality of a set of digital artifacts that are parameterized to the at least one changed parameter; and reporting the evaluated quality to the user 4 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: constructing a model from one or more sets of digital artifacts, the model associated with a set of parameters; deriving the local decision represented by the node by executing the constructed model using the set of parameters for the model; saving the constructed model in a repository for future use; evaluating a quality of each set of digital artifacts that are parameterized to the at least one changed parameter; and reporting the evaluated quality to the user. 5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: receiving a plurality of changes to a plurality of parameters for a plurality of nodes or edges of the graph from a user; and simulating the graph based at least in part on the plurality of changed parameters to determine importance of each parameter to a specific output global decision and to determine boundaries between different output global decisions. 6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: ranking different output global decisions based at least in part on qualities of the output global decisions, the qualities assigned to the output global decisions by the user; and identifying one or more specific local decisions that result in the assigned quality of an output global decision. 7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the decision making process is for an organization, wherein the method further comprises merging the graph with another graph that represents a decision making process for another organization when the organizations merge.
