What is claimed is: 1 . A method of displaying a notification related to an object, the method comprising: presenting a plurality of visual display elements which are associated with a plurality of applications on a screen of the electronic device; in response to an occurrence of an event for an application, providing first information related to the event at a first location associated with a visual display element corresponding to the application; and in response to detecting a touch on the visual display element provided with the first information, providing second information related to the event at a second location associated with the visual display element. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the second location is adjacent to an area where the visual display element is displayed. 3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the first location is different from the second location. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first location is substantially identical with the second location. 5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the first information is different from the second information. 6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the second information is specific information regarding the first information. 7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the detecting the touch comprises detecting a touch and a drag gesture being performed on the one visual display element in a predetermined direction. 8 . An electronic device comprising: a memory comprising computer executable instructions; a display configured to present a plurality of visual display elements which are associated with a plurality of applications; a processor configured to provide, in response to an occurrence of an event for an application, first information related to the event at a first location associated with a visual display element corresponding to the application, and provide, in response to detecting a touch on the visual display element provided with the first information, second information related to the event at a second location associated with the visual display element. 9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the second location is adjacent to an area where the visual display element is displayed. 10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the first location is different from the second location. 11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the first location is substantially identical with the second location. 12 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the first information is different from the second information. 13 . The method of claim 12 , wherein the second information is specific information regarding the first information. 14 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the processor detects a touch and a drag gesture being performed on the one visual display element in a predetermined direction. 15 . A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions executable by a computer to cause the computer to perform: presenting a plurality of visual display elements which are associated with a plurality of applications on a screen of the electronic device; in response to an occurrence of an event for an application, providing first information related to the event at a first location associated with a visual display element corresponding to the application; and in response to detecting a touch on the visual display element provided with the first information, providing second information related to the event at a second location associated with the visual display element. 16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the second location is adjacent to an area where the visual display element is displayed. 17 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first location is different from the second location. 18 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first location is substantially identical with the second location. 19 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the first information is different from the second information. 20 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the second information is specific information regarding the first information.
