What is claimed is: 1 . A display system for a vehicle comprising: a display device disposed in a passenger compartment of the vehicle, the display device comprising a screen and at least one sensor; and a controller in communication with the display device and an imager configured to capture image data in a field of view, wherein the controller is operable to adjust at least one of a position and a scale of a desired view of the image data for display on the screen in response to an input received by the at least one sensor. 2 . The display system according to claim 1 , wherein the display device corresponds to a rear-view display device. 3 . The display system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor corresponds to a proximity sensor. 4 . The display system according to claim 3 , wherein the proximity sensor is disposed behind a display surface of the screen. 5 . The display system according to claim 3 , wherein the proximity sensor is disposed behind a bezel of the display device. 6 . The display system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor corresponds to a sensor array extending along a perimeter of the screen. 7 . The display system according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one sensor is configured to output a detection signal to the controller in response to the input. 8 . The display system according to claim 7 , wherein the controller is configured to identify at least one of a movement or gesture of an object proximate the at least one sensor based on the detection signal. 9 . A display apparatus for a vehicle comprising: a display device disposed in a passenger compartment of the vehicle, the display device comprising a screen; an array of sensors disposed proximate a front surface of the display device; and a controller in communication with the display device and an imager configured to capture image data in a field of view, wherein the controller is operable to adjust at least one of a position and a scale of a desired view of the image data for display on the screen in response to an input received by the array of sensors. 10 . The display apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the array of sensors corresponds to a first sensor array extending in a first direction proximate a front surface of the display. 11 . The display apparatus according to claim 10 , wherein the array of sensors further corresponds to a second sensor array extending in a second direction proximate the front surface of the display. 12 . The display apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the first direction and the second direction are substantially perpendicular. 13 . The display apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein each sensor of the sensor array is substantially evenly spaced in the first direction and the second direction. 14 . The display apparatus according to claim 11 , wherein the first direction extends substantially horizontal along the front surface of the display device and the second direction extends substantially vertical along the front surface of the display device. 15 . The display system according to claims 9 , wherein the array of sensors is disposed behind a bezel of the display device, the bezel extending around a perimeter of the front surface of the display device. 16 . A display device for a vehicle comprising: a display screen coupled to a rearview display housing disposed in a passenger compartment of the vehicle; a first array of sensors disposed proximate a front surface of the screen extending in a first direction; a second array of sensors disposed proximate the front surface of the screen extending in a second direction; and a controller in communication with the display screen and an imager configured to capture image data in a field of view, wherein the controller is operable to adjust at least one of a position and a scale of a desired view of the image data for display on the screen in response to an input received by at least one of the first array and the second array. 17 . The display device according to claim 16 , wherein the first array and the second array extend along a perimeter of a front surface of the display screen. 18 . The display device according to claim 16 , further comprising an at least partially transparent substrate forming a front surface of the display screen. 19 . The display device according to claim 18 , wherein at least one of the first array and the second array is disposed behind the transparent substrate. 20 . The display device according to claim 16 , wherein at least one of the first array and the second array is disposed behind a bezel forming a perimeter of the display screen.
