1 .- 4 . (canceled) 5 . A transportation device accessory, comprising: a locking apparatus configured to secure a transportation device to an object; a mounting assembly mountable to the transportation device and to said locking apparatus, said mounting assembly including: a bracket with a member extending therefrom that is mountable to the transportation device; and a receiving portion extending from said bracket and removably engaging said locking apparatus, wherein said receiving portion includes a first arm extending upwardly from a first side of said bracket and a second arm extending downwardly from a second side of said bracket opposite said first side, said first and second arms each extending outwardly from said second portion to define a receiving area between said first and second arms and said bracket, said retaining area extending along a central axis along which said first and second arms are spaced a distance from one another, wherein a portion of said locking apparatus is positioned along the central axis when secured in said retaining area by said first and second arms. 6 . The transportation device accessory of claim 5 , wherein said first and second arms each extend along an arc greater than 180 degrees to an outer end of a respective one of said first and second arms so that said first and second arms overlap one another around said central axis. 7 . The transportation device accessory of claim 5 , wherein said first and second arms define a retaining area having a first diameter and said portion of said locking apparatus received in said retaining area defines a second diameter that is greater than said first diameter so that said portion of said locking apparatus snap fits into said first and second arms. 8 . The transportation device accessory of claim 5 , wherein said first and second arms define a receiving opening therebetween, where said receiving opening is configured so that said portion of said locking apparatus must be positioned at an oblique angle to said central axis to be positioned through said receiving opening into said retaining area. 9 . The transportation device accessory of claim 5 , wherein said first arm defines a plurality of notches along an upper side thereof and to receive a second portion of said locking apparatus that is transverse to said first portion of said locking apparatus to secure said locking apparatus in a selected orientation of said second portion relative to said central axis. 10 . The transportation device accessory of claim 5 , wherein: the bracket includes a first portion movably connected to a second portion; and the member includes a first end fixedly connected to a first side of said first portion of said bracket, and said first portion of said bracket defines a channel opening along a second a second side of said first portion that is opposite said first side, and said bracket further includes a lever pivotably mounted to said second side along said channel to define an opening in a first position of said lever for receiving a second end of said member that is opposite said first end, wherein said lever is movable in locking engagement with said member in said channel to tighten said member around the transportation device, wherein said bracket further includes a tab pivotably mounted to said lever that is movable relative to said lever and said member to release said member from said locking engagement. 11 . A transportation device accessory, comprising: a locking apparatus configured to secure a transportation device to an object; a mounting assembly mountable to the transportation device and to said locking apparatus, said mounting assembly including: a bracket including a body with a first lobe, a second lobe opposite said first lobe, and a third lobe offset from and between said first and second lobes, wherein said first and second lobes each include a respective one of first and second locking tabs, said third lobe including a third locking tab, wherein said first, second and third locking tabs are movable away from one another along said respective lobe to an outward position to secure said locking apparatus to said mounting assembly, said first, second and third locking tabs further being movable toward one another to an inward position to release said locking apparatus from said mounting assembly; and at least one connector extending from said bracket that is connectable to the transportation device to secure said mounting assembly to the transportation device. 12 . The transportation device accessory of claim 11 , wherein said connector includes: a strap with a first end connected to said bracket and an opposite free end; a connection arm pivotably connected to said bracket and a lever pivotably connected to said connection arm opposite said bracket; and a first tab pivotably connected to said lever and a second tab pivotably connected to said first tab, wherein said first and second tabs define an opening to receive said strap therethrough, said first and second tabs being pivotable relative to one another to selectively lock and release said free end of said strap relative to said bracket. 13 . The transportation device accessory of claim 11 , wherein said bracket includes a fixed tab on said third lobe and said third locking tab is movable toward said fixed tab to secure said locking apparatus therebetween in said outward position. 14 . The transportation device accessory of claim 11 , wherein said mounting assembly further comprises a control knob between said first, second and third locking tabs, said control knob being connected to a shaft extending through said bracket to an adjustment mechanism engaged to each of said first, second and third locking tabs, wherein said control knob is rotatable in a first direction to move said first, second and third locking tabs to said outward position and said control knob is rotatable in a second direction opposite said first direction to move said first, second and third locking tabs to said inward position. 15 . The transportation device accessory of claim 14 , wherein said control knob houses a clutch release mechanism to release said control knob from a locked condition. 16 . The transportation device accessory of claim 11 , wherein said at least one connector includes a first connector and a second connector, said first connector being positioned along said first lobe and said second connector being positioned along said second lobe. 17 . A transportation device accessory, comprising: a locking apparatus configured to secure a transportation device to an object; a mounting assembly mountable to the transportation device and to said locking apparatus, said mounting assembly including: a bracket releasably engageable to the transportation device, said bracket including first and second connectors extending outwardly therefrom; a flexible support engaged to and extending outwardly from opposite sides of said bracket member, said flexible support including a central portion that is spaced from said bracket body between said opposite sides; and first and second straps each having a fixed end secured to said flexible support along said central portion thereof, said first and second straps each having a free end opposite said fixed end, wherein said first and second straps are positioned around respective portions of said locking apparatus in engagement with a respective one of said first and second connectors to mount said locking apparatus to the transportation device. 18 . The transportation device accessory of claim 17 , wherein each of said first and second straps e
