A base station which uses either one of a plurality of component carriers individually or uses an aggregate carrier which is an aggregate of the above-mentioned plurality of component carriers to carry out radio communications with a mobile terminal corresponding to the above-mentioned component carrier and also carry out radio communications with a mobile terminal corresponding to the above-mentioned aggregate carrier is provided. The base station notifies a bandwidth of an aggregate carrier which is an aggregate of all of the above-mentioned component carriers, as a bandwidth which the above-mentioned base station uses, to the mobile terminal corresponding to the above-mentioned aggregate carrier. As a result, while an improvement in the transmission rate is provided according to the aggregate carrier, the base station can also support an operation of a mobile terminal corresponding to a component carrier.

1 ] A base station which uses either one of a plurality of component carriers individually or uses an aggregate carrier which is an aggregate of said plurality of component carriers to carry out radio communications with a mobile terminal corresponding to said component carrier and also carry out radio communications with a mobile terminal corresponding to said aggregate carrier, wherein said base station notifies a bandwidth of an aggregate carrier which is an aggregate of all of said component carriers, as a bandwidth which said base station uses, to the mobile terminal corresponding to said aggregate carrier. 2 ] The base station according to claim 1 , wherein said base station notifies a bandwidth of said component carrier, as a bandwidth which said base station uses, to the mobile terminal corresponding to said component carrier. 3 ] The base station according to claim 1 , wherein said base station notifies a tracking area which is common in an aggregate carrier which is an aggregate of all of said component carriers, as a tracking area which is a target for tracking a position of a mobile terminal and which said base station uses, to the mobile terminal corresponding to said aggregate carrier. 4 ] The base station according to claim 3 , wherein said base station notifies a tracking area corresponding to said component carrier disposed separately from the tracking area which is common in said aggregate carrier, as a tracking area which said base station uses, to the mobile terminal corresponding to said component carrier. 5 ] The base station according to claim 1 , wherein said base station notifies a call occurrence reporting timing which is common in an aggregate carrier which is an aggregate of all of said component carriers, as a call occurrence reporting timing which is a timing with which to report an occurrence of a call and which said base station uses, to the mobile terminal corresponding to said aggregate carrier. 6 ] The base station according to claim 5 , wherein said base station notifies a call occurrence reporting timing corresponding to said component carrier and disposed separately from the call occurrence reporting timing which is common in said aggregate carrier, as a call occurrence reporting timing which said base station uses, to the mobile terminal corresponding to said component carrier. 7 ] The base station according to claim 6 , wherein said sets the call occurrence reporting timing which is common in said aggregate carrier to have a higher frequency than the call occurrence reporting timing corresponding to said component carrier. 8 ] The base station according to claim 1 , wherein said base station selects a component carrier to which said base station should switch from among said plurality of component carriers according to quality of a signal which said base station transmits on a component carrier which said base station is currently using. 9 ] The base station according to claim 1 , wherein said base station selects a component carrier to which said base station should switch from among component carriers of a neighboring base station falling within a band which is same as that to which a component carrier which said base station is currently using belongs according to quality of a signal which said base station transmits on said component carrier which said base station is currently using. 10 ] The base station according to claim 8 , wherein said base station causes a mobile terminal to transmit a measurement result of quality of a signal which said base station transmits by using each of said plurality of component carriers, and selects the component carrier to which said base station should switch according to the measurement result transmitted thereto.
