Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A common mode filter includes a core, and first and second wires wound around the core. Each of the first and second wires includes at least i−1 th turn, i th turn, and i+1 th turn. The i th turn of the first wire intersects with the i th turn of the second wire without intersecting each of the i−1 th and i+1 th turns of the second wire.

What is claimed is: 1 . A common mode filter, comprising: a core; and first and second wires wound around the core, each of the first and second wires including at least i−1 th turn, i th turn, and i+1 th turn, wherein the i th turn of the first wire intersects with the i th turn of the second wire without intersecting each of the i−1 th and i+1 th turns of the second wire. 2 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the i th turn of the second wire intersects with the i th turn of the first wire without intersecting each of the i−1 th and i+1 th turns of the first wire. 3 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the i−1 th turn of the second wire is arranged between the i−1 th and the i th turns of the first wire, and the i+1 th turn of the second wire is arranged between the i th and i+1 th turns of the first wire. 4 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 3 , wherein each of the first and second wires further includes i−2 th turn and i+2 th turn, the i−1 th turn of the first wire is arranged between the i−2 th and i−1 th turns of the second wire, and the i+1 th turn of the first wire is arranged between the i+1 th and i+2 th turns of the second wire. 5 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 4 , wherein the i−2 th turn of the second wire is arranged between the i−2 th and i−1 th turns of the first wire, and the i+2 th turn of the second wire is arranged between the i+1 th and i+2 th turns of the first wire. 6 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the first and second wires are wound by a bifilar winding in the i−2 th , i−1 th , i+1 th , and i+2 th turns. 7 . A common mode filter, comprising: a core; and first and second wires wound around the core, the first and second wires including at least a pair of i−1 th turn, a pair of i th turn, and a pair of i+1 th turn, wherein the first and second wires intersect with each other in the pair of i th turn, wherein the pairs of i−1 th and i th turns are apart from each other to form a first space, and wherein the pairs of i th and i+1 th turns are apart from each other to form a second space. 8 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the first and second spaces are substantially the same in length as each other. 9 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the first and second wires further include a pair of i−2 th turn and a pair of i+2 th turn, the pair of i−1 th turn is closer to the pair of i−2 th turn than the pair of i th turn, and the pair of i+1 th turn is closer to the pair of i+2 th turn than the pair of i th turn. 10 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the pairs of i−2 th and i−1 th turns are in contact with each other, and the pairs of i+1 th and i+2 th turns are in contact with each other. 11 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 9 , wherein the first and second wires are wound by a bifilar winding in the pairs of i−2 th , i−1 th , i+1 th , and i+2 th turns. 12 . A common mode filter, comprising: a core including a first section, a second section, and a third section located between the first and second sections; and a pair of wires wound around the first, second, and third sections of the core to form first, second and third winding patterns, respectively, wherein at least a part of the pair of wires is stacked in each of the first and second sections, wherein the first and third winding patterns are apart from each other to form a first space, and wherein the second and third winding patterns are apart from each other to form a second space. 13 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 12 , wherein a number of turns of the pair of wires in the first winding pattern is the same as a number of turns of the pair of wires in the second winding pattern. 14 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the pair of wires is not stacked in the third winding pattern. 15 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the pair of wires includes first and second wires, at least a part of the first wire is wound over the second wire in each of the first and second winding patterns. 16 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 15 , wherein a part of the first wire is not wound over the second wire in each of the first and second winding patterns. 17 . The common mode filter as claimed in claim 15 , wherein the first and second wires intersect with each other in the third winding pattern.
