A controlled released composite membrane comprising hydrophobic styrene-butadienestyrene block copolymer as hydrophobic continuous medium and hydrophilic functional agents incorporated within silica nanoparticles as hydrophilic dispersed medium and a preparation process of said membrane are described.
Opening claim text (preview).
1 . Controlled released composite membrane characterized in that said membrane comprises hydrophobic styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer ( 2 ) as hydrophobic continuous medium ( 5 ) and hydrophilic functional agents incorporated within silica nanoparticles ( 8 ) as hydrophilic dispersed medium ( 6 ). 2 . Controlled released composite membrane according to claim 1 characterized in that hydrophobic continuous medium ( 5 ) comprises an organic solvent ( 3 ). 3 . Controlled released composite membrane according to claim 1 characterized in that said active agent is anti-icing agent ( 7 ). 4 . Controlled released composite membrane according to claim 3 characterized in that said anti-icing agent ( 7 ) is potassium formate. 5 . Controlled released composite membrane according to claim 1 , characterized in that hydrophilic dispersed medium ( 6 ) comprises agar. 6 . A process for the preparation of controlled released composite membrane according to any of the preceding claims characterized by comprising incorporation of hydrophilic functional agents into hydrophobic styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer as hydrophobic continuous medium ( 5 ) and stabilization of the mixture with hydrophobic silica nanoparticles ( 8 ) using Pickering emulsion templating method.
