What is claimed is: 1 . A fluid container of a household appliance, the fluid container comprising: a retaining region to hold fluid, and which has at least one oligodynamic surface. 2 . The fluid container of claim 1 , wherein the at least one oligodynamic surface is composed of at least one element out of Group Ib of the periodic table. 3 . The fluid container of claim 2 , wherein the retaining region further has at least one other electrode. 4 . The fluid container of claim 3 , wherein the least one other electrode is to apply a current to the at least one oligodynamic surface to cause the decomposition of the at least one oligodynamic surface. 5 . The fluid container of claim 4 , wherein the at least one oligodynamic surface is located at a bottom of the retaining region. 6 . The fluid container of claim 5 , wherein a oligodynamic surface is located at a central position of the bottom of the retaining region. 7 . The fluid container of claim 6 , wherein the retaining region is predominantly covered by the at least one oligodynamic surface. 8 . A household appliance comprising: at least one fluid container having a retaining region to hold fluid, and which has at least one oligodynamic surface. 9 . The household appliance of claim 8 , wherein the at least one oligodynamic surface is composed of at least one element out of Group Ib of the periodic table. 10 . The household appliance of claim 9 , wherein the retaining region further has at least one other electrode 11 . The household appliance of claim 10 , wherein a current can be applied to the at least one oligodynamic surface to decompose the at least one oligodynamic surface. 12 . The household appliance of claim 11 , wherein the at least one oligodynamic surface is located at a bottom of the retaining region. 13 . The household appliance of claim 12 , wherein a oligodynamic surface is located at a central position of the bottom of the retaining region. 14 . The household appliance of claim 13 , wherein the retaining region is predominantly covered by the at least one oligodynamic surface. 15 . The household appliance of claim 8 , wherein the household appliance comprises a clothes drying appliance. 16 . The household appliance of claim 8 , wherein the at least one fluid container comprises a condensate container. 17 . A household appliance comprising: at least one fluid container having a retaining region to hold fluid, and which has at least one oligodynamic surface and at least one other electrode to apply a direct current having an electrical charge between 10 −9 and 3×10 −3 C to the at least one oligodynamic surface to electrolytically decompose the at least one oligodynamic surface. 18 . The household appliance of claim 17 , wherein the household appliance comprises a clothes drying appliance. 19 . The household appliance of claim 17 , wherein the at least one fluid container comprises a condensate container.
