Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The present disclosure is directed, in part, to an absorbent article comprising a chassis comprising a topsheet, a backsheet, and a core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent article comprises a belt portion extending from the chassis. The belt portion comprises a first substrate, a second substrate joined to the first substrate, and a plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate. The belt portion comprises a texture zone having a texture ratio of greater than about 5.

What is claimed is: 1 . An absorbent article comprising: a chassis comprising: a topsheet; a backsheet; and a core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet; and a belt portion extending from the chassis, wherein the belt portion comprises: a first substrate, wherein the first substrate comprises a nonwoven material comprising a plurality of densified regions, wherein the plurality of densified regions have an aspect ratio of about 2 to about 10, and wherein at least some of the plurality of densified regions have a thickness that is less than about ⅓ of a thickness of non-densified areas in the first substrate; a second substrate nested with the first substrate; a plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate; and a texture zone having a texture ratio of greater than 5, wherein the plurality of densified regions define a frequency of rugosities of the texture zone. 2 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the densified regions are primary fiber bonds in the first substrate. 3 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the texture ratio is less than 25. 4 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein a distance intermediate each of the elongate elastic elements in the texture zone is at least 3 mm and less than 15 mm. 5 . The absorbent article of claim 4 , wherein the elongate elastic elements are substantially uniformly spaced relative to each other within the texture zone. 6 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the texture zone comprises 10 or more elongate elastic elements. 7 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the elongate elastic elements are adhesively joined to a portion of the first substrate or to a portion of the second substrate 8 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of densified regions have an aspect ratio of about 3 to about 6. 9 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the belt portion is a first belt portion, comprising a second belt portion extending from the chassis, wherein the first substrate or the second substrate is continuous and forms a portion of the first belt portion and a portion of the second belt portion, wherein the second belt portion comprises a third substrate, wherein the third substrate is nested with the first substrate or the second substrate that forms the portion of the second belt portion, the absorbent article comprising a second plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the first substrate or the second substrate that forms the portion of the second belt portion and the third substrate, wherein the second belt portion comprises a second texture zone having a texture ratio of greater than 5 and less than 25, and wherein portions of the first belt portion are joined to portions of the second belt portion to form a pant. 10 . The absorbent article of claim 9 , wherein the first texture zone and the second texture zone are continuous and uniform at least proximate to where the portions of the first belt portion are joined to the portions of the second belt portion. 11 . The absorbent article of claim 9 , wherein the portions of the first belt portion are releasably joined to the portions of the second belt portion. 12 . The absorbent article of claim 9 , wherein a portion of the first substrate or a portion of the second substrate forms a portion of a garment-facing surface of the absorbent article and extends continuously over a portion of the core. 13 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the densified regions have a length of at least 2 mm. 14 . The absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the first substrate comprises a laminate comprising two layers joined together by a bonding pattern that defines a frequency of nested rugosities of the texture zone. 15 . An absorbent article comprising: a chassis comprising: a topsheet; a backsheet; and a core disposed at least partially intermediate the topsheet and the backsheet; and a belt portion extending from the chassis, wherein the belt portion comprises an elasticized portion having a texture ratio in the range of about 4 to about 25, wherein the elasticized portion forms a single uniform texture, wherein the belt portion comprises: a first substrate comprising a plurality of densified regions, wherein the plurality of densified regions form a non-linear pattern, wherein the non-linear pattern of densified regions define a frequency of rugosities of the elasticized portion, wherein the non-linear pattern is formed by discontinuous densified regions, and wherein at least some of the plurality of non-linear densified regions have a thickness that is less than about ⅓ of a thickness of non-densified areas in the first substrate; a second substrate; and a plurality of elongate elastic elements disposed at least partially intermediate the first substrate and the second substrate, and wherein the first and second substrates together comprise nested rugosities. 16 . The absorbent article of claim 15 , wherein at least some of the elongate elastic elements extend in a first direction, and wherein at least some of the discontinuous densified regions have a longest dimension extending in a second direction that is substantially perpendicular to the first direction. 17 . The absorbent article of claim 15 , wherein the first and second substrates are adhesively joined to each other. 18 . The absorbent article of claim 15 , wherein the discontinuous densified regions comprise a plurality of linear segments. 19 . The absorbent article of claim 15 , wherein the texture ratio in the range of about 5 to about 20. 20 .
