Official abstract text for this publication.
A communication method implemented on a 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) communication network includes providing an attachment between a group member of a communication group and a group application server, detecting a detachment between the group member and the group application server, and reestablishing the attachment by the 3GPP communication network. A Mobility Management Entity (MME) may provide the attachment. A Group Communication Service Enabler Application Server (GCSE AS) or a Multipoint Service (MuSe) functionality may detect the detachment. The attachment may be reestablished according to the MuSe functionality. A group communication bearer may have a first priority level for allocating resources to the group communication bearer, and a second priority level for allocating resources to the non-group communication bearer. The second priority level may be different from the first priority level. Different Quality Control Indexes (QCIs) may be provided to the group communication bearer and the non-group communication bearer.

1 . A communication method implemented on a 3 rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) communication network, comprising; providing an attachment between a group member of a communication group and a group application server; detecting a detachment between the group member and the group application server; and reestablishing the attachment between the group member and the group application server by the 3GPP communication network. 2 . The communication method of claim 1 , further comprising a Mobility Management Entity (MME) providing the attachment between the group member and the group application server. 3 . The communication method of claim 1 , further comprising a Group Communication Service Enabler Application Server (GCSE AS) detecting the detachment between the group member and the group application server. 4 . The communication method of claim 1 , further comprising an MME detecting the detachment between the group member and the group application server. 5 . The communication method of claim 1 , further comprising a Multipoint Service (MuSe) functionality detecting the detachment between the group member and the group application server. 6 . The communication method of claim 5 , further comprising reestablishing the attachment between the group member and the group application server according to the MuSe functionality 7 . The communication system of claim 1 , further comprising the group member receiving a notification and reestablishing the attachment between the group member and the group application server in response to the notification 8 . The communication method of claim 1 , further comprising: the 3GPP communication network determining a location of the group member; and reestablishing the attachment between the group member and the group application server according to the determined location. 9 . The communication method of claim 8 , further comprising: the 3GPP communication network transmitting the determined location to the group application server, and the group application server reestablishing the attachment between the group member and the group application server according to the transmitted location. 10 . The communication method of claim 1 , including a plurality of group members within a group service area further comprising at least two group members of the plurality of group members attaching to different group application servers. 11 . The communication method of claim 1 , further comprising providing an Interworking Function (IWF) entity between the 3GPP communication network and the group application server. 12 . The communication method of claim 11 , further comprising: the IWF entity locating the group application server; and forwarding a communication from the 3GPP communication network to the group application server according to the locating. 13 . The communication method of claim 1 , wherein a cell has a 3GPP identifier further comprising reestablishing the attachment between the group member and the group application server according to the 3GPP identifier. 14 . The communication method of claim 1 , further comprising: providing a group communication bearer having a first priority level for allocating resources to the group communication bearer; and providing a non-group communication bearer having a second priority level for allocating resources to the non-group communication bearer, wherein the second priority level is different from the first priority level. 15 . The communication method of claim 14 , wherein the first priority level is higher than the second priority level. 16 . The communication method of claim 14 , further comprising providing different Quality Control Indexes (QCIs) to the group communication bearer and the non-group communication bearer according to the first and second priority levels. 17 . The communication method of claim 16 , further comprising providing different QCIs to the group communication bearer and the non-group communication bearer in downlink traffic. 18 . The communication method of claim 16 , further comprising providing different QCIs to the group communication bearer and the non-group communication bearer in unicast traffic. 19 . The communication method of claim 14 , further comprising providing different pre-emption vulnerabilities to the group communication bearer and the non-group communication bearer according to the first and second priority levels. 20 . The communication method of claim 14 , further comprising providing different pre-emption capabilities to the group communication bearer and the non-group communication bearer according to the first and second priority levels.
