Methods and systems for an improved navigation environment are provided. The navigation system can route users to preferred locations based on user profile data and past experience with the present driver and other drivers. The system provides more cost-effective and time-sensitive routing by incorporating other information about destinations. Further, the navigation system provides enhanced guidance in foreign or unfamiliar locations by incorporating experience from other drivers and other data.

1 . A method for providing navigation information for a conveyance, comprising: generating, by a vehicle control system including a processor, a route to a destination; communicating, by the vehicle control system, with a data source; determining, by the vehicle control system, an amount of activity at the destination based on data from the data source; determining, by the vehicle control system, that an alternate route is necessary based on the amount of activity at the destination; determining, by the vehicle control system, a product at the destination; determining, by the vehicle control system, an alternate destination based on the product; and generating, by the vehicle control system, an alternate route based on the alternate destination. 2 . (canceled) 3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the vehicle control system determines a product desired by a user at the destination. 4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the product determination is based on information in a user profile. 5 . (canceled) 6 . The method of claim 4 , wherein when the amount of activity at the destination will cause delay that is more than a time required to travel to the alternate destination, the alternate route is necessary. 7 . (canceled) 8 . The method of claim 6 , further comprising maintaining the route when the alternate route is not necessary. 9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the amount of activity is based on a number of people at the destination. 10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the amount of activity is based on parking information at the destination. 11 . A conveyance comprising: a route suggestion module including a processor and memory, the route suggestion module operable to: generate a route to a destination; communicate with a data source; determine an amount of activity at the destination based on data from the data source; determine that an alternate route is necessary based on the amount of activity at the destination; determine a product at the destination; determine an alternate destination based on the product; and generate an alternate route based on the alternate destination. 12 . The conveyance of claim 11 , wherein the vehicle control system determines a product desired by a user at the destination, and wherein the product determination is based on information in a user profile. 13 . The conveyance of claim 12 , wherein upon determining that the amount of activity at the destination will cause a delay that is more than a time required to travel to the alternate destination, determining that the alternate route is necessary. 14 . The conveyance of claim 13 , wherein the route suggestion module is further operable to maintain the route upon determining that the alternate route is not necessary. 15 . The conveyance of claim 11 , wherein the amount of activity is based on one of a number of people at the destination or parking information at the destination. 16 . A non-transitory computer readable medium stored on a storage medium and having instructions that when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform a method, the instructions comprising: instructions to generate a route to a destination; instructions to communicate with a data source; instructions to determine an amount of activity at the destination based on data from the data source; instructions to determine that an alternate route is necessary based on the amount of activity at the destination; instructions to determine a product at the destination; instructions to determine an alternate destination based on the product; and instructions to generate an alternate route based on the alternate destination. 17 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the vehicle control system determines a product desired by the user at the detination, and wherein the product determination is based on information in a user profile. 18 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein upon determining that the amount of activity at the destination will cause a delay that is more than a time required to travel to the alternate destination, determining that the alternate route is necessary. 19 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , further comprising instructions to maintain the route upon determining that the alternate route is not necessary. 20 . The computer readable medium of claim 16 , wherein the amount of activity is based on one of a number of people at the destination or parking information at the destination.
