Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure suggest an apparatus and method for rapidly establishing an initial connection and exchanging data among wireless devices in a wireless communication system. According to the exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure, a certain wireless device for transmitting data may discover neighboring wireless devices and display locations of the discovered wireless devices as information in the form of a map. Then, a user can easily select a wireless device to transmit data to based on the information which is displayed in the form of the map as described above, and transmit desired data to the selected wireless device.

1 . An apparatus for discovering for a wireless device in a wireless communication system, the apparatus comprising: a processor configured to control to discover a location of at least one neighboring wireless device, and convert location information of the neighboring wireless device into displayable map information. 2 . (canceled) 3 . The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a user interface module configured to display the map information converted by the processor as a device map. 4 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the processor is configured to further perform an operation of updating the device map according a time, and wherein the apparatus further comprises a transmitter configured to transmit data to at least one wireless device displayed on the device map. 5 . The method of claim 15 , further comprising displaying the converted map information as a device map. 6 . The method of claim 5 , further comprising: updating the device map according to a time; and transmitting data to at least one wireless device displayed on the device map. 7 . The apparatus of claim 3 , wherein the map information comprises a radial chart showing a distance and a direction, and location information of the neighboring wireless device displayed on the radial chart. 8 . The apparatus of claim 7 , wherein the user interface module is configured to display information on some area selected on the device map, or scale the device map and display the scaled device map. 9 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising displaying information on some area selected on the device map, or scaling the device map and displaying the scaled device map. 10 . The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the location information of the neighboring wireless device comprises distance information and direction information. 11 . The apparatus of claim 10 , wherein the processor is further configured to control to: discover distance information of the neighboring wireless device; and discover direction information of the neighboring wireless device. 12 . The apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the processor is configured to control to discover the distance information of the neighboring wireless device by estimating a time taken until a predetermined signal arrives after the signal is transmitted to the neighboring wireless device, and measure an intensity of a signal exchanged with the neighboring wireless devices in one or more beam directions, and discover the direction information of the neighboring wireless device based on the measured signal intensity. 13 . The method of claim 17 , wherein the discovering comprises: a distance discovering process for discovering distance information of the neighboring wireless device; and a direction discovering process for discovering direction information of the neighboring wireless device. 14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the distance discovering process comprises discovering the distance information of the neighboring wireless device by estimating a time taken until a predetermined signal arrives after the signal is transmitted to the neighboring wireless device, and wherein the direction discovering process comprises measuring an intensity of a signal exchanged with the neighboring wireless devices in one or more beam directions, and discovering the direction information of the neighboring wireless device based on the measured signal intensity. 15 . A method for discovering for a wireless device in a wireless communication system, the method comprising: discovering a location of at least one neighboring wireless device; and converting location information of the neighboring wireless device into displayable map information. 16 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the map information comprises a radial chart showing a distance and a direction, and location information of the neighboring wireless device displayed on the radial chart. 17 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the location information of the neighboring wireless device comprises distance information and direction information.
