What is claimed is: 1 . A base station of a communications network, the base station comprising: a transceiver circuit configured to transmit signals in a first Radio Access Node (RAN) and signals in a second RAN; and a controller configured to determine if signals in the second RAN should be stopped based on a load of the first RAN. 2 . The base station of claim 1 , wherein the controller is further configured to stop signals in the second RAN. 3 . The base station of claim 1 , wherein the first RAN includes a 3G RAN and the second RAN includes a Long Term Evolution (LTE) RAN. 4 . The base station of claim 1 , wherein the first RAN includes a Long Term Evolution (LTE) RAN and the second RAN includes a 3G RAN. 5 . A communications method in a base station of a communications network, the communications method comprising: transmitting signals in a first Radio Access Node (RAN) and signals in a second RAN; and determining if signals in the second RAN should be stopped based on a load of the first RAN. 6 . The communications method of claim 5 , wherein the method further comprises stopping signals in the second RAN. 7 . The communications method of claim 5 , wherein the first RAN includes a 3G RAN and the second RAN includes a Long Term Evolution (LTE) RAN. 8 . The communications method of claim 5 , wherein the first RAN includes a Long Term Evolution (LTE) RAN and the second RAN includes a 3G RAN.
