A fluid delivery system includes a first container configured for storing a first fluid therein and a second container configured for storing a second fluid therein, wherein the second fluid is different from the first fluid. The fluid delivery system further includes at least one pump configured for delivering under pressure one or both of the first and second fluids. At least one valve is provided for selectively delivering one or both of the first and second fluids to the pump. The first and second containers, the pump, and the valve are contained within a cartridge that is removably insertable into a cartridge carrier of the fluid delivery system.

1 .- 20 . (canceled) 21 . A medical connector assembly, comprising: a multi-use connector having a front face and a first fluid passageway; and one or more single-use connectors removably engagable with the multi-use connector, each of the single-use connectors comprising: a housing having a proximal end opposite a distal end; and a connector element removably coupled with the housing and having a second fluid passageway, the connector element movable relative to the housing between a first position where the first fluid passageway of the multi-use connector is in fluid communication with the second fluid passageway of the connector element and a second position where the first fluid passageway of the multi-use connector is out of fluid communication with the second fluid passageway of the connector element, wherein each single-use connector is slidable relative the front face of the multi-use connector such that the distal end of the housing is shielded from contamination. 22 . The medical connector assembly of claim 21 , wherein the single-use connector further comprises a flange extending around at least a portion of the distal end of the housing. 23 . The medical connector assembly of claim 22 , further comprising at least one seal, the at least one seal disposed on the flange or about the second fluid passageway, and wherein the at least one seal is configured to enable sliding engagement with the front face of the multi-use connector. 24 . The medical connector assembly of claim 22 , wherein each single-use connector further comprises a cap removably engaged with the flange, and wherein the cap is removed from the flange by sliding each single-use connector relative to the front face of the multi-use connector after engaging the single-use connector with the multi-use connector. 25 . The medical connector assembly of claim 24 , wherein the cap further comprises a tab for facilitating removal of the cap from each single-use connector. 26 . The medical connector assembly of claim 24 , wherein the multi-use connector further comprises at least one projection configured for disengaging and retaining the cap as the single-use connector is slidably moved relative to the front face of the multi-use connector. 27 . The medical connector assembly of claim 21 , wherein the multi-use connector further comprises at least one shroud configured for enclosing at least a portion of the housing of each single-use connector. 28 . The medical connector assembly of claim 21 , wherein the multi-use connector further comprises a frame configured for removably receiving at least one single-use connector. 29 . The medical connector assembly of claim 21 , wherein the second fluid passageway of each single-use connector comprises at least one sealing member configured for sealing the first fluid passageway when the connector element is in the second position. 30 . The medical connector assembly of claim 21 , wherein each single-use connector further comprises at least one locking device for reversibly locking the connector element in at least one of the first position and the second position relative to the housing. 31 . The medical connector assembly of claim 30 , wherein the at least one locking device comprises one or more resilient tabs provided on one of the connector element and the housing and one or more corresponding recesses provided on the other of the connector element and the housing, and wherein the one or more resilient tabs is operatively engagable with the one or more corresponding recesses to reversibly lock the connector element relative to the housing. 32 . The medical connector assembly of claim 30 , wherein each single-use connector comprises a first locking device and a second locking device, wherein the first locking device reversibly locks the connector element in the first position and the second locking device reversibly locks the connector element in the second position. 33 . The medical connector assembly of claim 21 , wherein at least a portion of the medical connector assembly is constructed from a medical grade plastic material. 34 . The medical connector assembly of claim 21 , wherein the connector element further comprises a tip configured for extending through the first fluid passageway of the multi-use connector and providing a fluid path between the first fluid passageway and the second fluid passageway when the connector element is in the first position. 35 . The medical connector assembly of claim 34 , further comprising an annular seal around the tip for sealing the fluid path between the first fluid passageway and the second fluid passageway. 36 . A medical connector assembly, comprising: a multi-use connector having a front face and a first fluid passageway; and one or more single-use connectors removably engagable with the multi-use connector, each of the single-use connectors comprising: a housing having a proximal end opposite a distal end; a flange extending around at least a portion of the distal end of the housing; at least one seal on the flange or disposed around the second fluid passageway; and a connector element removably coupled with the housing and having a second fluid passageway, the connector element movable relative to the housing between a first position where the first fluid passageway of the multi-use connector is in fluid communication with the second fluid passageway of the connector element and a second position where the first fluid passageway of the multi-use connector is out of fluid communication with the second fluid passageway of the connector element, wherein each single-use connector is slidable relative the front face of the multi-use connector such that the distal end of the housing is shielded from contamination. 37 . The medical connector assembly of claim 36 , wherein each single-use connector further comprises a cap removably engaged with the flange, and wherein the cap is removed from the flange by sliding each single-use connector relative to the front face of the multi-use connector after engaging the single-use connector with the multi-use connector. 38 . The medical connector assembly of claim 36 , wherein each single-use connector further comprises at least one locking device for reversibly locking the connector element in at least one of the first position and the second position relative to the housing. 39 . The medical connector assembly of claim 38 , wherein each single-use connector comprises a first locking device and a second locking device, wherein the first locking device reversibly locks the connector element in the first position and the second locking device reversibly locks the connector element in the second position. 40 .
