An electromotive unit includes a linear motor, a motor case containing the linear motor, a movable element connected with the linear motor and reciprocatingly driven with respect to the motor case, and a sealing material sealing the gap between the movable element and the opening of the motor case. The sealing material includes a contact portion contacting the movable element; and a recessed portion formed around contact portion, having a ring-shaped groove facing the outside of the motor case, and elastically deformable according to reciprocating movement of the movable element. This aspect provides an electromotive unit that hardly generates noise while the movable element is being reciprocatingly driven; and a small-size electrical appliance including the electromotive unit.

1 . An electromotive unit of a small-size electrical appliance, comprising: a drive source; a case containing the drive source; a movable element connected to the drive source and reciprocatingly driven with respect to the case; and a sealing material sealing a gap between the movable element and an opening of the case, wherein the sealing material includes a contact portion contacting the movable element, and a recessed portion formed around the contact portion, the recessed portion having a groove facing an outside of the case, and elastically deformable according to reciprocating movement of the movable element. 2 . The electromotive unit of a small-size electrical appliance of claim 1 , wherein the sealing material further includes an intermediate portion formed between the contact portion and the recessed portion. 3 . The electromotive unit of a small-size electrical appliance of claim 2 , wherein the intermediate portion includes a reinforcing portion disposed outside a path of the reciprocating movement of the movable element and reinforcing the contact portion, and an ordinary portion disposed on the path of the reciprocating movement of the movable element and configured to be more deformable than the reinforcing portion. 4 . The electromotive unit of a small-size electrical appliance of claim 3 , wherein a width of the ordinary portion is configured to be greater than a width of the reinforcing portion. 5 . The electromotive unit of a small-size electrical appliance of claim 3 , wherein a thickness of the reinforcing portion is configured to be greater than a thickness of the ordinary portion. 6 . The electromotive unit of a small-size electrical appliance of claim 1 , wherein the sealing material includes a peripheral portion formed around the recessed portion, wherein the recessed portion includes a bottom portion forming a bottom of the recessed portion, a first connecting portion connecting the contact portion with the bottom portion, and a second connecting portion connecting the peripheral portion with the bottom portion, and wherein a thickness of the first connecting portion decreases from the contact portion toward the bottom portion. 7 . A small-size electrical appliance including the electromotive unit of claim 1 .
