Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

The system may be configured to determine, via a verification and monitoring module, identity information for a user in a channel. The system may monitor activity information in the channel. The activity information may be analyzed to determine that the activity information corresponds to an activity associated with the user. The system may also analyze the activity information to determine that the activity information is associated with an item in the channel. The system may identify the item. The system may also initiate, via a transaction processing system, a transaction for the item in response to the analyzing the activity information.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method, comprising: determining, by a computer based system and via a verification and monitoring module, identity information for a user in a channel; monitoring, by the computer based system, activity information in the channel, wherein the activity information is analyzed to determine that the activity information corresponds to an activity associated with the user, analyzing, by the computer based system, the activity information to determine that the activity information is associated with an item in the channel; identifying, by the computer based system, the item; initiating, by the computer based system and via a transaction processing system, a transaction for the item, in response to the analyzing the activity information. 2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising transmitting, by the computer based system, a module for the channel. 3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the module is installed to allow the authentication information to be collected through the channel and communicated from the channel to the verification and monitoring module. 4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein the verification and monitoring module is configured to confirm the identity of the user, in response to the authentication information being communicated through the module. 5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the module is configured to validate user information associated with a transaction account and a user. 6 . The method of claim 5 , wherein the module is configured to enable a purchase of the item with the transaction account in the channel based on the activity information for the user in the channel. 7 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the module is configured to capture activity information in the channel. 8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein the module is configured to monitor selector activity by a user in the channel. 9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the activity information corresponds to movement of a selector in the channel. 10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the activity information corresponds to a selection in the channel. 11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the channel is a proprietary channel. 12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the channel is a non-proprietary channel. 13 . A non-transitory computer program product having computer-executable instructions stored thereon that, if executed by a computer based system, causes the computer based system to be capable of performing operations comprising: determining, by the computer based system and via a verification and monitoring module, identity information for a user in a channel; monitoring, by the computer based system, activity information in the channel, wherein the activity information is analyzed to determine that the activity information corresponds to an activity associated with the user, analyzing, by the computer based system, the activity information to determine that the activity information is associated with an item in the channel; identifying, by the computer based system, the item; initiating, by the computer based system and via a transaction processing system, a transaction for the item in response to the analyzing the activity information. 14 . The product of claim 13 , further configured to perform operations comprising transmitting, by the computer based system, a module for the channel. 15 . The product of claim 14 , wherein the module is installed to allow the authentication information to be collected through the channel and communicated from the channel to the verification and monitoring module. 16 . The product of claim 15 , wherein the verification and monitoring module is configured to confirm the identity of the user in response to the authentication information being communicated through the module. 17 . A computer based system, comprising: a processor; a non-transitory memory configured to communicate with the processor, the non-transitory memory having instructions stored thereon; determining, by the processor and via a verification and monitoring module, identity information for a user in a channel; monitoring, by the processor, activity information in the channel, wherein the activity information is analyzed to determine that the activity information corresponds to an activity associated with the user, analyzing, by the processor, the activity information to determine that the activity information is associated with an item in the channel; identifying, by the processor, the item; initiating, by the processor and via a transaction processing system, a transaction for the item in response to the analyzing the activity information. 18 . The system of claim 17 , further configured to perform operations comprising transmitting, by processor, a module for the channel. 19 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the module is installed to allow the authentication information to be collected through the channel and communicated from the channel to the verification and monitoring module. 20 . The system of claim 19 , wherein the verification and monitoring module is configured to confirm the identity of the user, in response to the authentication information being communicated through the module.
