Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A mobile terminal has a communication processing unit that transmits, to a video display apparatus for displaying a broadcasted video content, a request for setting a viewing schedule of the video content. A storage unit stores a starting time of the video content for which the setting of the viewing schedule has been requested; and an information provision unit provides information to a user of the mobile terminal. A control unit determines whether the video display apparatus is existent around the mobile terminal. At a first predetermined time before the starting time, the information provision unit notifies the user of the first predetermined time. If the video display apparatus is not existent around the mobile terminal at a second predetermined time before the starting time, the information provision unit then notifies the user that it is the second predetermined time before the starting time.

1 . A mobile terminal comprising: a communication processing unit configured to transmit, to a video display device displaying a broadcast video content, a request of setting a viewing reservation of the video content; a memory configured to store a start time of the video content for which setting of the viewing reservation has been requested; an information providing unit configured to provide information to a user of the mobile terminal; and a control unit, wherein the control unit determines whether or not the video display device is existent around the mobile terminal, and controls the information providing unit to notify the user that it is a first predetermined time before the start time, at the first predetermined time before the start time, and to notify the user that it is a second predetermined time before the start time in a case where the video display device is not existent around the mobile terminal, at the second predetermined time before the start time. 2 . The mobile terminal according to claim 1 , wherein the mobile terminal includes an input unit configured to receive an input of operation information, the information providing unit includes an output unit configured to output a video, the output unit displays an operation screen for receiving a remote control operation for the video display device, in a case where the video display device is existent nearby at the start time of the viewing reservation, and the communication processing unit transmits a signal for instructing the remote control operation received by the input unit, in a case where the operation screen is being displayed. 3 . The mobile terminal according to claim 2 , wherein in a case where a signal receiver has received emergency information, an emergency code determined in advance is added to the signal for instructing the remote control operation so that the video display device is notified. 4 . The mobile terminal according to claim 2 , wherein the mobile terminal includes a signal receiver configured to receive the broadcast video content and enable the received video content to be output by the output unit, and in a case where the video display device is not existent nearby at the start time of the viewing reservation, the output unit outputs the video content input from the signal receiver. 5 . The mobile terminal according to claim 4 , wherein the mobile terminal includes a function of receiving a notification from the video display device when executions of viewing reservations are overlapped, and the output unit outputs the video content for which the viewing reservation has been made, in a case where the video display device is existent nearby at the start time of the viewing reservation and has received the notification. 6 . The mobile terminal according to claim 1 , wherein a LAN communication function that transmits/receives data to/from the video display device by wire or wirelessly is provided, and the control unit determines that the video display device is not existent nearby, in a case where the video display device is not existent in a communication area. 7 . The mobile terminal according to claim 1 , further comprising a position information receiver configured to receive position information of the mobile terminal, wherein the control unit determines that the video display device is not existent nearby, in a case where a position indicated by position information of the video display device and a position indicated by current position information of the mobile terminal are away from each other by a predetermined distance. 8 . The mobile terminal according to claim 7 , wherein when no change has occurred in the position indicated by the current position information within a third predetermined time in a case where the user has been notified that it is before the second predetermined time, the user is notified again. 9 . The mobile terminal according to claim 1 , wherein the second predetermined time is a traveling time from a current position of the mobile terminal to the video display device. 10 . The mobile terminal according to claim 1 , wherein a priority is set for every viewing reservation that has been set, and a number of times of the notification to the user is changed in accordance with the priority. 11 . A video display device comprising: a signal receiver configured to receive and decode a broadcast video content; a display configured to display the decoded video content; a communication unit configured to receive a request of a viewing reservation of a video content from a mobile terminal; a memory configured to store therein a content of the viewing reservation including a date and time at which the video content is broadcast; and a control unit, wherein the control unit determines whether or not the mobile terminal is existent around the video display device, and makes the display display the video content for which the viewing reservation has been made, in a case where the mobile terminal that has requested the viewing reservation is existent around the video display device, at the date and time at which the video content for which the viewing reservation has been made is broadcast. 12 . The video display device according to claim 11 , wherein in a case where a broadcasting date and time of a video content specified by a first viewing reservation and a broadcasting date and time of a video content specified by a second viewing reservation overlap partly or entirely, a first mobile terminal that has requested the first viewing reservation is not existent around the video display device, and a second mobile terminal that has requested the second viewing reservation is existent around the video display device, the control unit makes the display display the video content specified by the second viewing reservation. 13 . The video display device according to claim 11 , wherein in a case where, at the date and time of the viewing reservation, the mobile terminal that has requested the viewing reservation is existent around the video display device, the communication unit accepts a change of the video content to be displayed on the display from that mobile terminal only. 14 . The video display device according to claim 13 , wherein in a case where the signal receiver has received emergency information although, at the date and time of the viewing reservation, the mobile terminal that has requested the viewing reservation is existent around the video display device, the communication unit also accepts the change of the video content to be displayed on the display from a mobile terminal other than that mobile terminal. 15 . The video display device according to claim 11 , wherein in a case where, at the date and time of the viewing reservation, the mobile terminal that has requested the viewing reservation is not existent around the video display device, the control unit makes the communication unit transmit a signal for asking whether to execute the viewing reservation to another mobile terminal existent around the video display device, and in a case where the communication unit has received a signal indicating that execution of the viewing reservation has been selected in the other mobile terminal, the control unit makes the display display the video content for which the viewing reservation has been made. 16 . The video display device according to claim 11 , further comprising a LAN communication unit configured to transmit/receive data to/from a mobile terminal by wire or wirelessly, wherein the control unit deter
