A makeup assisting apparatus includes an image acquirer that acquires a captured image of a face to which makeup is applied, an applied makeup acquirer that acquires applied makeup from the image, the applied makeup being a way of applying the makeup, a makeup evaluator that evaluates the applied makeup by comparing the applied makeup with a reference makeup which is makeup to be used as a reference by a user having applied the makeup to the face; an evaluation presenter that presents a result of the evaluation to the user, and an advice information indictor that indicates how to correct the applied makeup so as to make it closer to the reference makeup.

What is claimed is: 1 . A makeup assisting apparatus including a processor that executes instructions and a memory storing the instructions, and configured to: acquire a captured image of a face to which makeup is applied; acquire applied makeup from the image, the applied makeup being a way of applying the makeup; evaluate the applied makeup by comparing the applied makeup with a reference makeup which is makeup to be used as a reference by a user having applied the makeup to the face; present a result of the evaluation to the user; and indicate, by providing advice, how to correct the applied makeup so as to make it closer to the reference makeup. 2 . The makeup assisting apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein evaluation of the evaluate the applied make up, is further configured to evaluate partially corrected applied makeup, which was corrected by a user according to the provided advice, by comparing the corrected applied makeup with the reference makeup. 3 . A makeup assisting method comprising: acquiring a captured image of a face to which makeup is applied; acquiring applied makeup from the image, the applied makeup being a way of applying the makeup; evaluating the applied makeup by comparing the applied makeup with a reference makeup which is makeup to be used as a reference by a user having applied the makeup to the face; presenting a result of the evaluation to the user; and indicating advice how to correct the applied makeup so as to make it closer to the reference makeup. 4 . The makeup assisting method according to claim 3 , wherein the evaluating evaluates partially corrected applied makeup, which was corrected by a user according to the indicated advice, by comparing the corrected applied makeup with the reference makeup.
