Official abstract text for this publication.
Content creation and deployment collaboration techniques are described. In one or more implementations, metadata that describes the creation of the content may be associated with the content. The content may then be provided from a content creation service to a content deployment service for deployment as part of a marketing activity. Deployment data obtained from this tracking may be utilized to support a variety of functionality, such as by content creators to determine which of their content has been successfully employed as part of marketing activities, marketers may also use knowledge of the deployment of the content to choose content to be included in a marketing activity as well as select content creators that are best suited to provide this content, used to configure badges, by retailers and manufacturers, and so forth.

What is claimed is: 1 . In a digital medium environment for deploying marketing activities, where the deployed marketing activities involve deployment of content as part of the marketing activities, a system to track deployment of the content comprising: one or more modules implemented at least partially in hardware to track deployment of content for use as part of a marketing activity, the one or more modules configured to expose functionality configured to: create the content and associate a usage tracking monitor with the created content; deploy the created content and associated usage tracking monitor as part of a marketing activity; and causing output of data for display in a user interface that describes the tracked deployment of the marketing activity and the created content. 2 . A system as described in claim 1 , wherein the tracked deployment of the market activity describes a number of times the created content is viewed by one or more potential consumers. 3 . A system as described in claim 1 , wherein the content is an image, sound data, or media. 4 . A system as described in claim 1 , wherein the output data further comprises metadata describing the creation of the content included as part of the marketing activity. 5 . A system as described in claim 1 , wherein the output data is performed in real time during deployment of the marketing activity. 6 . A system as described in claim 1 , wherein the output data includes a badge associated with the content that is indicative of a level of deployment of the content as part of the marketing activity. 7 . A system as described in claim 1 , wherein the output data includes a badge associated with a user profile of a content creator that is indicative of a level of deployment of content created by the content creator as part of one or more marketing activities. 8 . In a digital medium environment for deploying marketing activities, where the deployed marketing activities involve deployment of content as part of the marketing activities, a method to track deployment of the content comprising: tracking deployment of a marketing activity and the content included as part of the marketing activity to a plurality of potential consumers, the content having metadata associated therewith describing creation of the content; and exposing data for output in a user interface that describes the tracked deployment of the marketing activity and the metadata describing the creation of the content included as part of the marketing activity. 9 . A method as described in claim 8 , further comprising aggregating a plurality of the exposed data corresponding to a plurality of said marketing activities, the aggregating indicating similarities of the metadata associated with the creation of the content with deployment of corresponding said marketing activities. 10 . A method as described in claim 8 , wherein the metadata describes characteristics of a device used to create the content. 11 . A method as described in claim 10 , wherein the characteristics include device type, flash usage, focal length, aperture value, exposure time, zoom level, digital versus analog zoom, lens type, or device identifier. 12 . A method as described in claim 8 , wherein the metadata also describes characteristics of the content. 13 . A method as described in claim 12 , wherein described characteristics of the content include identification of one or more objects in the content or scene classification. 14 . A method as described in claim 8 , wherein the metadata also describes environmental conditions of a scene in which the content is captured, the environmental conditions including a scene classification, lighting conditions, or whether the environment is likely indoors or outdoors. 15 . A method as described in claim 8 , wherein the metadata describes processing performed to edit the content as part of creation of the content. 16 . A method as described in claim 15 , wherein the metadata describes one or more image processing operations applied to the content, identifies one or more applications used to perform the processing, or identifies processing performed by respective applications. 17 . In a digital medium environment for deploying marketing activities, where the deployed marketing activities involve deployment of content as part of the marketing activities, a system to track deployment of the content comprising: one or more modules implemented at least partially in hardware to track deployment of content for use as part of marketing activities, the one or more modules configured to expose functionality configured to: aggregating data describing tracked deployment of a plurality of the marketing activities and content included as part of respective ones of the plurality of marketing activities to a plurality of potential consumers; and causing output in a user interface that indicates: similarity of metadata, one to another, that describes creation of the content; and correspondence of the similar metadata with the tracked deployment of the plurality of marketing activities described by the aggregated data. 18 . A system as described in claim 17 , wherein the metadata describes characteristics of a device used to create the content. 19 . A system as described in claim 17 , wherein the metadata describes processing performed to edit the content as part of creation of the content. 20 . A system as described in claim 19 , wherein the metadata describes one or more image processing operations applied to the content or identifies one or more applications used to perform the processing.
