The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technologies, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A method of providing a profile package by a profile server and the profile server includes generating a profile package, dividing the profile package in a unit installable in a UICC of an electronic device, reconfiguring the divided profile information in an encryptable unit, and transmitting the reconfigured profile information to the electronic device. Further, provided is an operating method and apparatus of an electronic device communicating with the profile server.

What is claimed is: 1 . A method of providing a profile package by a profile server, the method comprising: generating the profile package; dividing the profile package into a pluarality of profile package first units, each profile package first unit installable in a Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) of an electronic device; reconfiguring the plurality profile package first units into a plurality of the profile package second units, wherein each of the profile package second units is encryptable; and transmitting the plurality of profile package second units to the electronic device. 2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the profile package is divided into n pieces of profile package first units, and the n pieces of profile package first units are divided into m pieces of profile package second units, wherein m and n are positive integers, respectively. 3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising: encrypting each of the plurality of profile package second units. 4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the profile package is in a Tag Length Value (TLV) form. 5 . A profile server for providing a profile package, the profile server comprising: a transceiver unit configured to transmit or receive a signal; and a controller configured to: generate a profile package; divide the profile package into a plurality of profile package first units, each of the profile package first units installable in a UICC of an electronic device; reconfigure the plurality of profile package first units into a plurality of profile package second units, wherein each of the profile package second units are encryptable; and transmit the plurality of profile package second unit to the electronic device. 6 . The profile server of claim 5 , wherein the profile package is divided into n pieces of profile package first units, and the n pieces of profile package first units are configured as m pieces of profile package second units, wherein in and n are positive integers, respectively. 7 . The profile server of claim 5 , wherein the controller is configured to to encrypt the plurality of profile package second units. 8 . The profile server of claim 5 , wherein the profile package is in a TLV form. 9 . A method for downloading a profile package by an electronic device, the method comprising: receiving, from a profile server, a plurality of profile package second units, wherein each of the profile package second unit are encryptable; transmitting the plurality of profile package second units to a UICC of the electronic device; decoding the plurality of profile package second units that are transmitted to the UICC; generating a plurality of profile package first units from the plurality of profile package second units, wherein each of the profile package first unit are installable; and installing the plurality of profile package first units in an installable unit. 10 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising: storing, in a buffer, remaining profile package first units except profile package first units installed in the installable unit among the plurality of profile package first units. 11 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising: receiving, from the profile server, the plurality of profile package second units; transmitting the plurality of profile package second units to the UICC of the electronic device; decoding the plurality of profile package second units that is transmitted to the UICC; acquiring a plurality of profile package first units on the basis of the remaining profile package first units stored in the buffer and the profile package second units; installing the acquired profile package first units in an installable unit; and storing, in the buffer, the remaining profile package first units among the pluarality of profile package first units wherein each profile package unit is encryptable. 12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein transmitting the plurality of profile package second units comprises dividing the profile package second units by a transmittable unit and transmitting the divided profile package second units to the UICC, and wherein decoding the plurality of profile package second units comprises combining the divided plurality of profile package second units to be in an encryptable unit. 13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of profile package second units are configured to be a plurality of profile information divided in a unit installable in the UICC, and wherein the profile package second units are reconfigured into the plurality of profile package first units, wherein each profile package first unit is installable in the UICC. 14 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the profile package second units are encrypted to be in a transmittable unit, and are transmitted from the profile server to the electronic device. 15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the profile package is in a TLV form. 16 . An electronic device for downloading a profile package, the electronic device comprising: a communication unit configured to transmit and receive a signal; a UICC configured to download and install a profile; and a controller configured to cause the communication unit to receive, from a profile server, first profile information in an encryptable unit, which constitutes a profile package, and transmit the first profile information in an encryptable unit to the UICC of the electronic device, wherein the UICC is configured to: decode the first profile information in an encryptable unit, which has been transmitted to the UICC, acquire first profile information in an installable unit from the decoded profile information, and install the acquired profile information in an installable unit. 17 . The electronic device of claim 16 , wherein the UICC is configured to store, in a buffer, remaining profile information except profile information in an installable unit among the decoded profile information. 18 . The electronic device of claim 17 , wherein the controller is configured to cause the communication unit to receive, from the profile server, second profile information in an encryptable unit, which constitutes the profile package, and transmit the second profile information in an encryptable unit to the UICC of the electronic device, and wherein the UICC is configured to decode the second profile information in an encryptable unit, which is transmitted to the UICC, acquire second profile information in an installable unit on the basis of the remaining profile information stored in the buffer and the decoded second profile information, install the acquired second profile information in an installable unit, and store, in the buffer, remaining profile information from among the second profile information in an encryptable unit. 19 . The electronic device of claim 16 , wherein the controller is configured to divide the first profile information in a transmittable unit and transmit the divided first profile information to the UICC, and wherein the UICC is configured to combine the information divided in a transmittable unit to the first profile information in an encryptable unit and decode the combined information. 20 . The electronic device of claim 16 , wherein the profile package is configured by profile information divided in a unit installable in the UICC, and the profile information in an encryptable unit is reconfigured as profile information divided in a unit installable in the UICC. 21 .
