Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

Devices, systems, and methods directed to evaluating a vessel of a patient are provided. The method includes outputting, to a display, a screen display including: a visual representation of a pressure ratio of pressure measurements obtained by first and second instruments positioned within a vessel while the second instrument is moved longitudinally through the vessel and the first instrument remains stationary within the vessel; and a visual representation of the vessel; receiving a user input to modify one of the visual representations of the pressure ratio and the vessel to simulate a therapeutic procedure; and updating the screen display, in response to the user input, including: modifying the selected one of the visual representation of the pressure ratio and the vessel based on the received user input; and correspondingly modifying the unselected one of the visual representation of the pressure ratio and the vessel.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the visual representation of the vessel is an angiographic image. 3 . The system of claim 2 , wherein the processing system is configured to receive a user input by receiving a user input to insert a graphical representation of a stent in one of the visual representations of the pressure ratio and the vessel to simulate a percutaneous coronary intervention. 4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the processing system is further configured to determine physiological parameters for a stent to be deployed in the vessel based on the characteristics of the graphical representation of the stent. 5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein: the physiological parameters include at least one of stent position, stent length, and stent diameter; and the characteristics of the graphical representation of the stent include at least one of position, length, and diameter. 6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the processing system is further configured to determine at least one of the stent position, stent length, stent diameter, the position of the graphical representation of the stent, the length of the graphical representation of the stent, and the diameter of the graphical representation of the stent based on at least one of the angiography data, the obtained pressure measurements, a pressure ratio calculated based on the obtained pressure measurements, and intravascular imaging data obtained within the vessel. 7 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the processing system is configured to: receive a user input further including receiving a user input to perform at least one of changing a length of the visual representation of the stent and changing a position of the visual representation of the stent in the visual representation of the pressure ratio; modify the selected one of the visual representation of the pressure ratio and the vessel including modifying the visual representation of the pressure ratio by at least one of changing the length of the visual representation of the stent and changing the position of the visual representation of the stent, based on the received user input; and correspondingly modify the unselected one of the visual representation of the pressure ratio and the vessel including modifying the visual representation of the vessel by at least one of changing the length of the visual representation of the stent and changing the position of the visual representation of the stent, based on the received user input to match at least one of the length and position of the stent in visual representation of the pressure ratio. 8 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the processing system is configured to: receive a user input further including receiving a user input to perform at least one of changing a length of the visual representation of the stent and changing a position of the visual representation of the stent in the visual representation of the vessel; modify the selected one of the visual representation of the pressure ratio and the vessel including modifying the visual representation of the vessel by at least one of changing the length of the visual representation of the stent and changing the position of the visual representation of the stent, based on the received user input; and correspondingly modify the unselected one of the visual representation of the pressure ratio and the vessel including modifying the visual representation of the pressure ratio by at least one of changing the length of the visual representation of the stent and changing the position of the visual representation of the stent, based on the received user input to match at least one of the length and position of the stent in visual representation of the vessel. 9 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the processing system is configured to output a screen display further including outputting a plurality of graphical representation of stents compiled based on an inventory database of stents associated with a clinical environment. 10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the processing system is configured to: receive a user input to modify one of the visual representations of the pressure ratio and the vessel including receiving a user input to select one of the plurality of graphical representations of the stents; and modify the selected one of the visual representation of the pressure ratio and the vessel including inserting the selected graphical representation of the stent from among the plurality of graphical representations of the stents. 11 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the processing system is configured to output a screen display including at least one of: outputting a marker indicative of a location within the vessel associated with the pressure measurements; and outputting a numerical value of the pressure ratio adjacent to the marker. 12 .
