Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A mobile storage system is disclosed that in one aspect identifies a geographical location change of a user, such as movement from a first geographical location to a second geographical location. In response, the mobile storage system may move the user's information to a storage device associated with the second geographical location so that the user's information may be accessed by the user more efficiently.

1 . (canceled) 2 . A method comprising: determining, by a computing device, an anticipated location change of a user from a first geographical location to a second geographical location; and in response to determining the anticipated location change and before the user moves from the first geographical location to the second geographical location, moving data associated with the user from a storage device associated with the first geographical location to a mobile device associated with the user. 3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein moving the data associated with the user from the storage device associated with the first geographical location to the mobile device is based on a location schedule associated with the user. 4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein moving the data associated with the user from the storage device associated with the first geographical location to the mobile device is performed in response to a determination that a likelihood that the user will access the data during a commute associated with the anticipated location change satisfies a threshold. 5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein moving the data associated with the user from the storage device associated with the first geographical location to the mobile device is performed in response to a determination that a duration of a commute associated with the anticipated location change satisfies a threshold. 6 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising: determining one or more capabilities of the mobile device; and moving second data associated with the user from the storage device associated to a second storage device associated with the second geographical location based on the one or more capabilities of the mobile device. 7 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising: after moving the data associated with the user to the mobile device, moving the data from the mobile device to a second storage device associated with the second geographical location. 8 . The method of claim 7 , wherein moving the data from the mobile device to the second storage device is performed in response to a determination that the second storage device is available. 9 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising: in response to determining the anticipated location change and before the user moves from the first geographical location to the second geographical location, moving the data associated with the user from the storage device associated with the first geographical location to a second storage device associated with the second geographical location; and synchronizing the data moved to the mobile device with the data moved to the second storage device. 10 . A method comprising: determining, by a computing device, an anticipated location change of a user from a first geographical location to a second geographical location; and in response to determining the anticipated location change and before the user moves from the first geographical location to the second geographical location, causing data associated with the user and stored at a storage device associated with the first geographical location to be stored at a mobile device associated with the user. 11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein causing the data associated with the user to be stored at the mobile device is based on a location schedule associated with the user. 12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein causing the data associated with the user to be stored at the mobile device is performed in response to a determination that a likelihood that the user will access the data during a commute associated with the anticipated location change satisfies a threshold. 13 . The method of claim 10 , wherein causing the data associated with the user to be stored at the mobile device is performed in response to a determination that a duration of a commute associated with the anticipated location change satisfies a threshold. 14 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising: determining one or more capabilities of the mobile device; and moving second data associated with the user from the storage device to a second storage device associated with the second geographical location based on the one or more capabilities of the mobile device. 15 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising: after causing the data associated with the user to be stored at the mobile device, moving the data from the mobile device to a second storage device associated with the second geographical location. 16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein moving the data from the mobile device to the second storage device is performed in response to a determination that the second storage device is available. 17 . The method of claim 10 , further comprising: in response to determining the anticipated location change and before the user moves from the first geographical location to the second geographical location, moving the data associated with the user from the storage device associated with the first geographical location to a second storage device associated with the second geographical location; and synchronizing the data stored at the mobile device with the data moved to the second storage device. 18 . A method comprising: determining, by a computing device, an anticipated location change of a user to a geographical location; and in response to determining the anticipated location change and based on a determination of a likelihood that the user will access data associated with the user during a commute associated with the anticipated location change, moving the data associated with the user to a mobile device associated with the user. 19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein moving the data associated with the user to the mobile device is based on a location schedule associated with the user. 20 . The method of claim 18 , wherein moving the data associated with the user to the mobile device is performed based on a determination that the likelihood that the user will access the data during the commute associated with the anticipated location change satisfies a threshold. 21 . The method of claim 18 , wherein moving the data associated with the user to the mobile device is performed in response to a determination that a duration of a commute associated with the anticipated location change satisfies a threshold.
