Abstract

Official abstract text for this publication.

A hollow filter element, in particular a multiple-bellows hollow filter element ( 44 ) of a filter ( 10 ) for filtering fluid, in particular air, water, fuel, oil, or urea-water solution, in particular of an internal combustion engine, in particular of a motor vehicle, a filter ( 10 ), a filter housing ( 30 ) of a filter ( 10 ), and a seal ( 90 ) of a hollow filter element ( 44 ) are described. The hollow filter element ( 44 ) comprises at least two filter bellows ( 46, 48 ), which each comprise at least one filter medium ( 50 ), through which flow can occur for filtering of the fluid. The at least two filter bellows ( 46, 48 ) at least partially delimit at least one element interior ( 60, 64 ). The hollow filter element ( 44 ) comprises at least one end body ( 56, 68, 70 ) on an axial front and/or rear end side ( 52, 54 ) of the hollow filter element ( 44 ) with respect to an element axis ( 32 ). The hollow filter element ( 44 ) comprises at least one seal ( 90 ), which is arranged at least partially circumferentially with respect to the element axis ( 32 ) in the region of at least one of the end sides ( 54 ) of the hollow filter element ( 44 ). The at least one seal ( 90 ) comprises at least one partially circumferential radial outer and/or radial inner seal section ( 92, 94 ), which can cooperate with at least one corresponding sealing surface ( 100 ) of a filter housing ( 30 ) of the filter ( 10 ) to form a radial seal with respect to the element axis ( 32 ).

What is claimed is: 1 . A hollow filter element of a filter for filtering fluid, comprising: at least one filter bellows having at least one filter medium, through which flow can occur for filtering of the fluid, and which at least partially delimits at least one element interior; at least one end body secured on an axial front and/or rear end face of the hollow filter element with respect to an element axis; and at least one seal arranged at least partially circumferentially with respect to the element axis proximate to the axial front and/or rear end face of the hollow filter element; wherein the at least one seal comprises at least one partially circumferential radial outer and/or radial inner seal section adapted to form a seal with at least one corresponding sealing surface of a filter housing of the filter to form a radial seal with respect to the element axis. 2 . The hollow filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the hollow filter element is a multiple-bellows hollow filter element having at least two radially nested filter bellows. 3 . The hollow filter element according to claim 2 , wherein an installation/removal axis of the filter, to which the hollow filter element can be installed into the filter housing and removed from the filter housing in parallel, axially, or coaxially, extends axially, coaxially, or in parallel in relation to the element axis. 4 . The hollow filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one end body at least partially encloses at least a corresponding end side of the hollow filter element . 5 . The hollow filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one seal comprises at least two seal sections, which are spaced apart from one another at least axially with respect to the element axis. 6 . The hollow filter element according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one seal at least comprises a double radial seal. 7 . The hollow filter element according to claim 2 , wherein the at least one seal at least sectionally protrudes radially beyond at least one radial outer filter bellows, with respect to the element axis, and/or at least one end body. 8 . The hollow filter element according to claim 2 , wherein the at least one seal protrudes axially beyond at least one of the filter bellows and/or at least one end body with respect to the element axis. 9 . The hollow filter element according to claim 1 , wherein at least one support frame is provided at least for supporting at least one end body and/or the at least one seal. 10 . The hollow filter element according to claim 2 , wherein the at least one seal forms at least one receptacle chamber for at least one section of at least one secondary filter element of the filter. 11 . A filter for filtering fluid air, water, fuel, oil, or urea-water solution, comprising: at least one filter housing, having at least one inlet for fluid to be filtered; and at least one outlet for filtered fluid; a multiple-bellows hollow filter element arranged such that it separates the at least one inlet from the at least one outlet, the multiple-bellows hollow filter element including: at least one filter bellows having at least one filter medium, through which flow can occur for filtering of the fluid, and which at least partially delimits at least one element interior; at least one end body secured on an axial front and/or rear end face of the hollow filter element with respect to an element axis; and at least one seal arranged at least partially circumferentially with respect to the element axis proximate to the axial front and/or rear end face of the hollow filter element; wherein the at least one seal comprises at least one partially circumferential radial outer and/or radial inner seal section adapted to form a seal with at least one corresponding sealing surface of a filter housing of the filter to form a radial seal with respect to the element axis; wherein the hollow multiple-bellows hollow filter element has at least two radially nested filter bellows; at least one first housing part having at least one installation opening for the at least one hollow filter element, which can be closed using at least one second housing part; wherein the at least one hollow filter element comprises at least one filter bellows , which comprises at least one filter medium through which flow can occur for filtering the fluid, and which at least partially delimits at least one element interior, having at least one end body on an axial front and/or rear end side of the hollow filter element with respect to an element axis and having at least one seal, which is arranged at least partially circumferentially in the region of at least one of the end sides of the hollow filter element with respect to the element axis, characterized in that the at least one seal comprises at least one at least partially circumferential radial outer and/or radial inner seal section, which can cooperate with at least one corresponding sealing surface of the filter housing to form a seal radially with respect to the element axis. 12 . A filter housing of a filter for filtering fluid water, fuel, oil, or urea-water solution, configured to receive a, comprising: at least one inlet for fluid to be filtered; and at least one outlet for filtered fluid, wherein the filter housing is configured torn receive a multiple-bellows hollow filter element according to claim 2 such that it separates the at least one inlet from the at least one outlet; wherein the filter housing further comprises at least one first housing part having at least one installation opening for the at least one hollow filter element, which can be closed using at least one second housing part; wherein the filter housing has at least one sealing surface, with which the at least one seal can cooperate using at least one at least partially circumferential radial outer and/or radial inner seal section to form a seal radially with respect to the element axis. 13 .
