What is claimed is: 1 . A vacuum cleaner comprising: a vacuum component defining an aperture; and a hand vacuum including a removable battery, wherein the hand vacuum is in removable engagement with the vacuum component, and the battery is removable from the hand vacuum through the aperture while the hand vacuum remains in engagement with the vacuum component. 2 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 1 , wherein a suction source of the hand vacuum is configured to create an airflow through the vacuum component when the hand vacuum is in removable engagement with the vacuum component. 3 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 2 , wherein the airflow transports dirty air from the vacuum component into the hand vacuum. 4 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 1 , wherein a portion of the battery and the aperture are in alignment when the hand vacuum is in engagement with the vacuum component. 5 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the aperture receives a portion of the battery. 6 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the vacuum component is an upright. 7 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the vacuum component includes a first side opposite a second side, the aperture provided between the first and the second sides. 8 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 7 , wherein the battery is removable from the aperture through the second side. 9 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 8 , wherein during engagement of the hand vacuum with the vacuum component, the hand vacuum is provided on the first side of the vacuum component. 10 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 9 , wherein the vacuum component is an upright. 11 . The vacuum cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the battery is a rechargeable battery. 12 . A multi-component vacuum cleaner comprising: a vacuum component defining an aperture; and a hand vacuum removably coupled to the vacuum component, the hand vacuum carrying a removable battery, wherein the battery is removable from the hand vacuum through the aperture while the hand vacuum remains coupled to the vacuum component. 13 . The multi-component vacuum cleaner of claim 12 , wherein the battery is configured to provide electrical power to the hand vacuum. 14 . The multi-component vacuum cleaner of claim 13 , wherein the battery is configured to provide electrical power to the vacuum component when the hand vacuum is coupled to the vacuum component. 15 . The multi-component vacuum cleaner of claim 12 , wherein the aperture extends through a portion of the vacuum component. 16 . The multi-component vacuum cleaner of claim 12 , wherein the vacuum component includes an upright portion. 17 . The multi-component vacuum cleaner of claim 16 , wherein the upright portion includes a cradle for receiving the hand vacuum. 18 . A method of removing a battery from a hand vacuum removably coupled to a vacuum component without separating the hand vacuum from the vacuum component comprising: accessing the battery through an aperture provided in the vacuum component; detaching the battery from the hand vacuum; and removing the battery through the aperture. 19 . The method of claim 18 , wherein during the accessing step, a portion of the battery is received by the aperture. 20 . The method of claim 18 , wherein during the accessing step, the aperture is defined by a portion of the vacuum component.
